Hey all back at it again sorry it took me so long to transfer from the other site. (To0 bad I cant transfer my post count 😞 ) neway It is an exciting and nerve wrackin' time to be a Packer fan. In fact more so than last year with waiting on the 4.
With that said I am really liking the approach. I believe prudence is needed in the search for a NEW (yeehaw) defensive staff. Just like hunting you can't be too quick in pulling the trigger nor to late. You must however be deliberate. Nolan did look like a possibility but he is off the board. Williams would also be a good hire. Problem with williams is he is a former HC and former HC's tend to want career upgrades much to soon. Mcdermott or someone like him a young firey guy that relates well with the defensive players. Younger guys also tend to be able to think outside the box when it comes to assembling staff. Old HC's tend to drag coat tails with them.
So I am excited to see what comes. (fingers crossed for Mcdermott)
Nice to be back in the fold. :reindeer:
I am therefor I think.

The same can be said in terms of Free Agents and Hasty draft pick decisions.

Yeah. It was terrible when we dragged our feet and lost Coach Kickass to the Vikings...

I'd have to say Mcdermott would be my choice. Young guy who can bring in the Johnson's philosophy (I hate the eagles but love the way the play defense) and work with our young DB behind woodson and harris to develope them. Williams, you know whatt your getting and is a proven coach would not bad a bad choice either. I guess anything would be an upgrade from last year.

Well, Nolan's out, so it must be down to McDermott, Williams, Moss or a yet to be named candidate.

Interesting times in Packerland.

Let's kick the tires and light the fires big daddy!

Sorry, had to say it after reading that subject heading.

Going through your hiring process and not jumping to any rash conclusions is always a good plan. They need to be aggressive when it's time to be, though.

Like most Packer fans, I'm getting a little antsy. "Hire somebody, already", I think to myself, too many times each day. But when I think about it, I'm not sure that the lack of a hire is what's getting me all riled up. I think it's the lack of having any specific and/or meaningful insight into the process. I think i'd feel better if i had some insight into how the DC search was going. That being said, I'm glad that Ted plays it so close to the vest.

dfosterf (25-Jun) : You do have to interpret the boring fine print, but all stockholders all see he is on the ballot
dfosterf (25-Jun) : It also says he is subject to another ballot in 2028. I recall nothing of this nature with Murphy
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy is on my ballot subject to me penciling him in as a no.

dfosterf (25-Jun) : Because I was too lazy to change my address, I haven't voted fot years until this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Weird question. Very esoteric. For stockholders. Also lengthy. Sorry. Offseason.
Zero2Cool (25-Jun) : Maybe wicked wind chill made it worse?
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : And then he signs with Cleveland in the offseason
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : @SharpFootball WR Diontae Johnson just admitted he refused to enter a game in 41° weather last year in Baltimore because he felt “ice cold”
Zero2Cool (24-Jun) : Yawn. Rodgers says he is "pretty sure" this be final season.
