It wasn't a blown coverage on Jordy. Revis was there and in coverage Jordy just toasted him on the route and after the catch.

That said, I wouldn't say this is meaningless. The Packers beat a legitimate team. I didn't verify this, but according to CBS it meant holding #2 vs the #6 seed. It's a confidence booster, even a character win since they had to fight for it rather than just coast on the coattails of a dominating first half. There are a lot of positives that came from this.

Nick Foles was not playing as well as Mark Sanchez has been so that doesn't even need to be worth mentioning. [duh]

The thoroughality of beating the Eagles and this zero turnovers from either team win over the Patriots.

Foles was the starting QB all through TC and took the majority of the snaps. Foles was the starting QB for another 9 weeks. Phillie was 5-2 with their only losses at SF and AZ. Just about every QB would be satisfied with that kind of success.

I don't care who the backup QB is, it is hard to be sharp with only 1 week as the starting QB.

We NEED the seeding help. We're very good at home this year and not so good on the road. I think everyone would admit that. This is not 2010... going on the road isn't an option for this particular team.

Arizona is toast. The key will be whether we can hold off Seattle record wise for the top seed. Seattle will win the NFCW and Arizona won't even make it. If we tie with Seattle they are the #1 seed assuming we beat Detroit.

None of us wants to see Seattle...at Lambeau, which is preferable, or otherwise.

Great win to set the table... but AJ Hawk is right. It doesn't mean a thing if they blow it, again, in the playoffs.

At this point, no team's win this week means anything in terms of wins in the playoffs (other than helping to get there, which is the important bit in the regular season). I think you're delusion if you think any poster's enthusiasm over beating a very good team means the Packers have already won the superbowl, I don't think anyone has suggested anything like that.

Getting to the playoffs is hard, winning in the playoffs is very hard, winning the superbowl is down right improbable (only 1 out of 32 teams does it every year). I think all of the fans on this site are aware of these realities. However, thus far, the Packers have shown to be a very good team, and in the past 3 weeks have beat 2 of the 3 9-3 teams which they currently share the league's best record with. I would say that being excited about this team's potential is quite reasonable, and you nor I nor anyone else on this site knows what will happen in the playoffs. Its why we watch the games after all.

You can point to loses in the playoffs in previous years, but at this point, only 3 NFC teams that made the playoffs from last year would qualify again this year, and the NY Giants for instance have won 2 superbowls in recent memory stacked between some downright awful seasons, so one year's success or lack thereof generally has very little bearing on the next.

Facts:
1. The year before the Packers won the superbowl, they lost in the first round of the playoffs
2. At least 66% of teams in the NFL finish the season with a loss in the their first game of the playoffs, or worse (not getting to the playoffs at all).

Now, these facts do not mean the Packers will win in the first round of the playoffs (as mentioned above winning any game in the playoffs is very hard), but it does help to keep perspective.

Tramon has the right mindset. This win was never labeled as a Super Bowl victory, so why anyone is going to say the Packers haven't won anything yet is beyond me. If you don't win in the regular season, you don't get a chance in the playoffs. It's kind of common sense. Even Terry Bradshaw gets that.

The reason everyone watches the games is because they are entertaining and this game was freaking entertaining. Whether they win or lose in a couple months I got enjoyment out of watching todays game so it certainly wasn't meaningless. If we bow out of the playoffs early I certainly won't hang my hat on the fact that we beat New England in November but I'm not going to be miserable all year because there's a chance that might happen. It seems stupid to not enjoy any games during the season because of something that might and even probably will happen months later.

I do wish to be entertained... the ultimate entertainment is watching a SB win. This helps in that quest so I respect what it might mean and what it does mean. Would you tell him to just be entertained and not worry about them not winning it all because it's so hard to do?
