You all know I've always criticized Vic Ketchman every opportunity I've gotten.
Well dude spent many years covering the AFC, and he seems to have some interesting insights on this Pats team.
Many people are concerned that the Pats will use Blount to jam the ball down our throats and thus win today. Mike and Dom seem to have adopted the philosophy that they are daring teams to run against them, because they do not believe you can win by running in the NFL anymore. They believe the running game is obsolete.
Well, Ketchman said some interesting things on the pregame show today. He said that if Belicheck tries to run Blount today, that "Brady will be PISSED." First of all, this game is looked at as an epic battle of "all time" legendary QBs. Second of all, these two QBs are going head to head for League MVP honors. If Belicheck takes the ball out of Brady's hands, he will lose ground in the MVP voting.
I thought that was HILARIOUS, but it rings true to me. Aaron isn't the only stat whore in the league, thank god. So maybe there really is something to this new defensive philosophy.
“Winning is not a sometime thing, it is an all the time thing. You don't do things right once in a while…you do them right all the time.”
