The key to stopping the Patriots is to get in Tom Bradys face. Sack him, rattle his cage, don't let the bas**d breathe. It has been done before with good results. It will take a maximum effort , but is the only way. I believe that it's possible for the Packers Defence to do. Cover the WR's , TE's and don't forget the RB's. The make Brady sorry he ever came to play at Lambeau Field.

As for Gronkowski, if Brady is terrorized, then he will become irrelevant .

Brady is a CEO pocket passer. Best way to stop him is to play tight man to man. Zone won't matter. If we can get interior pressure on him, fine. But he'll read just about every blitz we throw at him.

Gronk is the only real threat here. You neutralize Gronk and stop the run, and Brady can be beatable.

Brady is a completely different QB under pressure than he is when he's comfortable in the pocket.

If you let him just stand in the pocket he'll pick you apart. The key is to remove his stable base.

But you don't necessarily even have to reach him. He just has to perceive that pressure is coming and he starts shuffling/bouncing on his feet--his accuracy goes to pot and he starts throwing the ball into the ground/at his receivers' feet, etc.

I think you are mostly right on coverage. Zone coverage against top QB's will not usually work out well. The thing that makes elite QB's stand out is often their ability to read a defense. Once they see zone coverage, they know there will be holes to exploit. If Dom overdoses on zone, they will likely just take the short passes over the middle. Our secondary needs to play primarily tight man coverage or we will get torched. Give the receivers and Gronk a bump at the line - let them know we mean business.

As far as reading the blitz - most QB's can do that at the pro level fairly consistently, but if their lineman misses his block it doesn't matter. I think what people forget though - even having Brady as their QB, they CAN run the ball respectably. If they run the ball up the middle with ease - we will be in serious trouble. This is not an easy game at the LOS, but that is where the game will be won or lost.
