The current state of NFL Picks has the following features and we're looking to add MORE.

Leaderboard
You see your rank versus others determined by the amount of picks correct and the percentage is used if the total picks correct is a tie.

View Picks
You can View Picks by clicking the Name of someone from the Leaderboard
You will see the current weeks picks and can also cycle through previous season and previous weeks picks.
You can ONLY see picks of games that have been concluded.
You also see how many they picked correct, incorrect and didn't pick at all.

Make Picks
This is really basic. You click a team and that's your pick. Boom, done.

http://www.packerpeople.com/WeeklyPicks  that page.

Okay, now lets discuss some revamping for the next season. What do YOU want to see added?

Do you have links to other NFL Pick'ems that you like better? Or just for other ideas?

I really want to revamp the piss out of this. So, throw ideas at me. What do you think would help YOU in making your picks?

Let me (and only me) change my picks before the game ends. [grin1]

This is the only pick em board that I go to and I like what you have here. No need to change perfection.

I haven't because it could be a bit obnoxious lol

I think a large banner headline across the top of PH with the current picks leader would be nice... [whip]

UPDATE
On the MyPicks page, if you put your mouse cursor over a team, you will see how many have picked that team for that game.

Is there a way to speed up the picking process? It takes so long to get through all the picks because you have to wait for it to process each pick before you can make the next one.

I like it. It is just another tool. No one will change their selection when they see 95-100% of the people are selecting a particular team just to go against the grain. Games that are 50-50 or even 60-40 may have someone switch sides but there will only be a game or two like that and it should not have any real impact on the final outcome. Plus you don't know who made the choice. You would be switching your selection based on the choices that others made and end up with the same pick as the leader any way so win or lose there would be no net gain.

Really? You think it's slow to make picks? That sucks. I've been making them on my phone, tablet and computer and while at work with the slow ass network it there is a hesitation, I haven't experienced any "so long" moments while going through them.

Even that being said, I do want to change the process entirely so it is more efficient and by more efficient perhaps it will be faster for you (and others who might feel it takes too long)?

Right now when you make a pick, it updates the database, then retrieves the schedule and your picks and displays them again.

I'll post back in the next few days with something gooder.

dfosterf (25-Jun) : You do have to interpret the boring fine print, but all stockholders all see he is on the ballot
dfosterf (25-Jun) : It also says he is subject to another ballot in 2028. I recall nothing of this nature with Murphy
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy is on my ballot subject to me penciling him in as a no.

dfosterf (25-Jun) : Because I was too lazy to change my address, I haven't voted fot years until this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Weird question. Very esoteric. For stockholders. Also lengthy. Sorry. Offseason.
Zero2Cool (25-Jun) : Maybe wicked wind chill made it worse?
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : And then he signs with Cleveland in the offseason
