As the coaches’ video of the Green Bay-Philadelphia game rolled on, Larry McCarren finally took a pause in his breakdown of Corey Linsley. “There’s no mystery to it,” McCarren said in that familiar growl of his. “At the end of the day, the kid’s a damn good player.”

It was a marvelous idea to draft a center from a major football program and actually have him play center instead of trying to turn him into a guard or tackle.

I figured it would take him 2-3 years to win the starting job. He is way ahead of schedule. Naturally the injury was a factor as well.

Watching Linsley plant defenders into the turf to finish off plays is a joy to watch.
