I think the shifting things around on defense (as well as putting him in on offense and passing it to him in the end zone) is good as far as keeping Peppers motivated. His history of taking plays off was the biggest thing I was worried about when we signed him.
As long as the changes they're making are not fundamentally unsound, as long as they're able to communicate what defense they're running, and as long as the players are able to know/execute what they're supposed to do.
That's a lot of 'ifs', and it's going to take a combined effort from the coaching staff and players to pull it off. But if the players are excited about it they've got a much better chance.
