Dear Green Bay Press....

Three Things I am dying for information about. (Any Info Please.)

OTHER THAN THE DRAFT, FREE AGENCY AND COACHING OPENINGS

1. Greg Jennings contract negotiations- Just get me some info please.

2. Do the Packers really want Al Harris back, or is he major trade bait to upgrade the O Line or D line, while maintaining the youth movement.

3. Progress reports on our two young Q.B's. I have read nothing?

I'm going to be pissed if Ted Thompson lets Greg Jennings cannon ball into the FA waters..

He better not trade Al Harris unless we get somebody that's REALLY good.

I don't know about the QB's...I just hope that they're ready to step up if Aaron goes down.

I don't think we'll actually get a player for Harris. The last time that that happend was with Holmes or Larry Johnson or some other running back quite a while ago.

Or you have to count the Eli and Rivers trade.

I asume we wen't get a really high pick either, so trading him doesn't seem like a good option to me.

Some good points you have there though, RP. I'd love to read something about that instead of all the last-season reviews.

1 - They will be negotiating the contract.
2 - No one has said the Packers did not want Al Harris back and no one is going to say they do NOT want him back. Because even if they were planning to trade him, it would be stupid to say they wanted to let him go because it would decrease his value.
3 - They reported progress on the QB's throughout the season. They are not practicing anymore, therefore no more progress to report. Brohm is starting to adapt to the speed of the game which was his biggest downfall and Flynn is still moving along nicely and needs reps to get better.

I'm not sure what you are asking for here, but all three of these have been discussed on this forum and in the local area press. I know, because I have read them. šŸ™‚

Would you become one of those Ted Thompson haters that you hate so much if Ted Thompson let Gregorious go? ;)

As for our other 2 QBs, Aaron's awesome, but I just hope he doesn't go down (knocks on wood). I haven't been impressed with either of them yet. I guess we'll see more of them in the preseason and hopefully see some improvement.

We won't dump Al Harris for nothing. He's still respected throughout the league.

I don't think we'll trade Harris because I don't think he's valuable enough to make a trade worthwhile.

I can't speak for him, but I'd be pissed at him. I wouldn't HATE him. That's absurd no matter what happens. The only reason I like Ted Thompson is because I've agreed with 95% of the personnel moves he's made, including Will Blackmon (who was the only player I wanted on day 2, and flipped out when they actually took him).

I just dig the philosophy and overall plan. It makes sense to me. Steady as she goes, Captain.

I don't foresee much besides coaching appointments being released in the near future.

I hope that Jennings contract gets done quick, but I wouldn't be surprised to see this until after FA for sure, and until after most if not all of the draft picks are inked.

I also don't think the team is going to actively look for a trade of Harris. I think it would take a team coming to GB and asking. Woody,Harris and Williams are to good of a group to break up on a possibility. The team is not any where close enough to the cap to require such a drastic move.

I am kind of dissappointed that neither Brohm or Flynn were given playing time during the Detroit game. I don't expect both of them to be around after the 09' season. 1 of them will probably be used in some type of trade in the future and getting play time would raise their value.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!

dfosterf (25-Jul) : Probably a homer access credential intimidation kinda thing
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Meathead "journalists" skip this, concentrating on operational revenue when convenient. They switch when net revenue is more favorable.
