I understand but he is already out there on the field. Half the plays were running plays (and I know they still need to run the ball.) and two were passes off into the flats. It was a waste of his talent and time. Of the 6 plays only one of them was a pass more than a few yards down field. Why even expose him to a potential injury at all? If he is out there let him try and move the ball.

Either keep him out altogether or let him compete. They did neither.

Its one thing to go on a 10 play 70 yard drive and throw A TD pass to get the record it another to go down field on 3 consecutive plays to try to get it. Still, if they are going to hand the ball off then Flynn should have been in there.

Late fourth quarter may be different, but not the early third. Live reps are invaluable, even for players like Aaron Rodgers. Of cource Rodgers et al. should play very smart in those situations, but there's nothing wrong with them continuing to play. In fact, if the Packers were getting beat that bad, I want would the opposing team to keep their foot on the throttle. If a team is playing as bad as the Bears were playing, they SHOULD be embarrassed. Perhaps it will be a catalyst for change. Perhaps it also gives them a chance to improve and figure out how to stop the opposing team.

I've never felt sorry for teams getting pummeled. It's not the opposing teams responsibility to take it easy on them. This isn't high school sports or the little leagues. These are grown professional men making millions of dollars. It's not being a poor sport to simply play the game. The Packers can't help that the Bears simply could not stop them. That's their problem, not the Packers. A team also can't play scared and be worried about getting injured, because that's when it will likely happen.

I don't necessarily disagree with pulling Rodgers. However, I definitely wouldn't disagree with leaving him in longer and continuing to play their game. Certainly through the 3rd quarter. The Bears or any other team in their position would have no one to be mad at but themselves, not the Packers. If they were pissed off at the Packers for continuing to execute their game plan, then they would be sore losers and misdirecting their hostility, imo. The woe is me thing isn't going to improve anyone.

If the Bears had put up any kind of resistance, I could see us going for it.

But, they diddnt.

Do. Not. Risk. The. Franchise.

The last thing we need is Shea McCellen attacking Rodgers collarbone again.

Its just that the goal has changed. Early on it is to move the ball to score later on it is to move the ball to run out the clock. I agree that expecting them to run 3 times then punt is unrealistic. Still, going for long passes deep down field just to get more TDs is something I think is a little tacky. Most coaches and players on the losing end will say what you did. "If we don't want them scoring we should stop them." Its not them that I worry about though. Its my team that is pouring it on when it is not necessary that makes them look like jerks. If the Packers were on the losing end I wouldn't look poorly on the Bears for pouring it on. Its kind of hard to explain. I guess its like yeah I don't really expect you to do that but when you do I think it shows a bit of class.

For example, another humiliating loss in the playoffs should be absolutely unacceptable to this regime.

Martha Careful (14h) : Yes, in the military S2’s work on IPB, PERCEC, PHYSEC and IO
dfosterf (4-May) : FYI civilian companies swipe the S2 designation from the military. S2 is the intelligence branch up to brigade level. G2 is division level.
dfosterf (4-May) : Google it. Make sure to tack NFL on it or you will get the military meaning
Zero2Cool (4-May) : S2?
beast (4-May) : Seems like the S2 has a love/hate relationship with professional scouts.
beast (4-May) : In theory, the S2 test how quickly a QBs brain can solve game like issues and how quickly they can do it.
dfosterf (4-May) : Are you gentlemen and at least one lady familiar with the S2 cognition
Zero2Cool (4-May) : Maybe there isn't an issue.
