The six wins have come against Jets, @Bears, Vikings, Panthers, @Dolphins, and Bears. That's 20 wins between them and 35 losses with one tie sprinkled in.

The three losses have come against @Seahawks, @Lions and @Saints who combined have 17 wins and 10 losses.

In other words, if the Packers opponent has a Good to Elite quarterback, they are screwed!

Sure makes 6 - 3 look even less decent than it already wasn't. Based on this, we can except the Packers to finish 10 - 6 and hope Carolina wins the NFC South so they can at least get one in the playoffs.

Defensive problem was solved by getting a huge lead early in 1st half.

All 3 of the losses were away games also, including 2 of the tougher stadiums to play in. 2 of the 3 losses were early in the season and things have improved for the Packers.

I think they are contenders, but gaining some home field advantage is more important than in some years past possibly. I do not fear any team in the NFC.

A good to elite QB has always been a problem. That's why they are good to elite. AR presents the same problem to other teams.

So if GB are pretenders, what are the Lions? Record of opponents beaten is 27-37 with Miami and GB only teams with winning records. Most impressive road win was at 4-5 Minnesota. Losses to @Carolina and Buffalo.

I hear what you are saying, but consider that of the losses only the Seahawks game seemed unwinnable. The Packers were in it down to the end in the other two games. I don't know that I would say the Packers are better than those teams, but they are in the same class.

**Followup**
I know almost doesn't count, so the losses against the Saints and the Lions still count as such and mean something. On the other hand, if the Packers played each team ten times I would guess it would be an even split, to maybe even being tilted towards the Packers. Based on that I would call the Packers on the lower end of the CONTENDER scale.

I'm just not seeing contender from the Packers. The next game they have to beat a real contender is the Patriots. if they can win that game, then we can consider them tilted towards contenders instead of pretenders.

We can't beat top level teams? If they hadn't lost to us, Carolina would be right there with New Orleans and Miami would be there with New England if we hadn't knocked them down.

ANY team with Aaron Rodgers as QB is a contender - sometimes it seems like Ted Thompson is trying to prove that theory by not giving Aaron a decent enough supporting cast. However, with the exception of the aberration in New Orleans, things seem to be coming together pretty well for the Packers over the last few games.

As for the playoffs, one of these weeks, Detroit's luck is gonna run out. If we go into that last game with them at least even, does anybody really think we won't pound the crap out of them?

There is so much parity(sp?) in the NFL today. I would say the Packers are in the upper half, but they need to prove themselves by beating a top team, like the Patriots.
I still feel they can go all the way. The CM3 change might be a huge upgrade to the D, which might pay off big.
That's what I hope, at least.

Of the three loses, if those had been home games, the Packers would have likely won 2 of the 3.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!

dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
