I was on my daily walk, and went to the post office to mail a letter.
Just before I got there, several cop cars roared past. A few minutes later, I arrived at the post office to find an elderly lady on the pavement, with the police giving CPR. This went on for several minutes until the ambulance arrived. They were still trying as they loaded her into the ambulance.
A lady standing next to me told me she pulled into the lot and parked next to the lady's car, noticed she was slumped over, and pounded on the car to try to see if she was ok. She didn't react.
The cops busted out the rear passenger window and pulled her out and tried to revive her.
We have no idea how long she was slumped over in the car.
I don't think she's going to make it.
It just makes me sick.
Had this woman not got involved, who knows if anyone else would have even bothered to check on the lady.
Give your loved ones an extra hug and tell them you love them.
You never know when something like this might happen.
