What I want to know is why did we fire him? He's the person McCarthy SHOULDN'T have fired.

Hell, or maybe you don't. Maybe McCarthy let him go so the new Defensive Coordinator could have free reign on hiring his staff and McCarthy told Washington that he'd put in a good word for him to be hired back.

No I'm just saying that he was obviously a help to our cornerbacks. Look how good they played last year. That was arguably our best position on the team. I don't know all of the stuff that happened on the inside, but from the outside looking in, he's a good coach.
