There is absolutely nothing wrong with a pass rush specialist. Especially on a team like the Packers when they are very often going to be playing with a league.

Coming after the Miami game...

Yeah when you keep Perry off the field most of the game, he gets better ....

Without worrying too much over snap counts all the times I've watched Perry when he's out there he's making plays. I also don't see him out there making any big mistakes. I think if someone has earned more snaps it's Perry. The coaches started Brad Jones over Lattimore and never even really gave Lattimore a shot to win the starting job in the offseason even though he clearly looks like the better player. It doesn't mean they are dumbasses or that Perry is way worse than the OLBs who have been ahead of him it just means that in his limited time Perry has shown that he can play and should probably see more time on the field in the future. Something to also keep in mind with Neals snaps is those aren't all OLB snaps, he plays a lot on the line.

I would attribute Perry being the "highest rated" to him coming in fresh a lot and not having negative plays since the grades are cumulative. One thing you cannot tell me though is Perry hasn't made an impact when he's been on the field this year. He's probably one of the most violent looking players on our defense when he hits someone and he's been getting after the QB.

And we might be able to say the same about Bostick.

They might be the physical most athletic guys at their positions, but playing the worst. Maybe they're in their own head, maybe the coaches can't coach them up and we're keeping them? Maybe we should keep them if they can get out of their own heads or a coach could pull them out.

But it was almost nothing but them and now it's the complete reverse of that for what ever reason.

Then again maybe Winston Moss being to tough on him is making him a bench guy is why he's playing better? That or just another year of growth?

As USUAL.. Dodd comes in with a brilliant, yet simple observation that makes everything so right in the world.

I love reading PackersHome.

It gets me all fired up for when my Raiders will win a game in the future.

Well stated DoddPower.

I'm hoping it's this week against the Browns others wise, which their schedule they might be the second team that goes 0-16 (unless someone gives them a late season game they're not really fighting to win). I hate seeing a team go 0-16.

It's also a different situation when the 2 starters are Clay Matthews and Julius Peppers who are proven respected vets that don't like coming off the field. I would bet that Perry does see more snaps as the season progresses though. Like I said, using my eyes when Perry is on the field he makes a lot of plays. Are you telling me you see something different? It seems like you are saying I should ignore my eyes telling me that Perry played a good game against Carolina because he only played 25 snaps, that seems like a ridiculous idea to me.

I've always liked Perry but I think he just doesn't fit our D. Wish we could trade him to a 4-3 team where he could flourish as a DE and we could pick up good/outstanding ILB,OLB,or DE directly or with a draft pick. Since he had to learn a new position and has had limited PT maybe he can still breakout if there's no trade. At least that is my hope.
Why is Jerry Kramer not in the Hall of Fame?
