Thomas Jones is now backing off his comments on ESPN First take. He said he answered questions but it wasn't about Brett it was about the team and the reporters chopped it up to make it look bad. So is it possible the media stirring up stuff or is Jones backing away from what he said.

It's also possible that Jones was taken to the "woodshed" by Jets management for his comments, so now he has to retreat or be in bigger trouble.
As far as Favre's teammates when he was here, Favre was a long time player here, and had earned "seniority" on the team. Allowing him to get away with stuff other players might not get away with.
Of course, unless you actually HEAR the quotes, it's hard to say if it was all in context or not. I have read what he said, and if what was written is true, there are obviously some fence mending to be done if Favre wants to still play.
