So 3 turnovers, two of them being INTs. The Defence came away with stops against the Lions (at least before the last 6 minutes of the game).

They gave up 10 points in total, kept Megatron in check, and mostly limited big running plays (outside Bush's 20+ yard TD).

Given that they were pretty much on the field most of the game, I thought the D held their own.

Question is if this is sustainable, or a fluke?

6 straight quarters of good play.

Too small of a sample size. Although I'm not blaming the defense for the loss by any stretch, it's still getting extremely annoying watching 4th quarter drives that do not end for the opponent

Why do we always want to blame the offense for the defense being on the field too much.

The Packer D didn't give up the points, yes, and that is good. But a big part of the reason they were on the field is that they let the Lions offense stay on the field.

Blame goes on both sides of the ball this week, IMO.

Again.

(Did like the Peppers play, though.)

Big plays were still given up, but even the 50+ yard completion was the result of a bonehead timeout called by our Coach and you could argue the 20+ yard TD run by Bush was because Hyde played inside to stop the first down as opposed to trying to keep contain.

If you would've told me the Packers don't give up a TD against the Lions until 10 minutes left in the 4th Q, I'd have said we'd win the game easily.

Defense gave up 10 points to the Lions.
Offense gave up 9 points to the Lions.

Reminded me of the Bengals game last year... I think the defense gave up two long plays and TDs, and got four turnovers while the offense gave up a lot of points / turnovers back and fans blamed the defense when they played decent.

Mike Daniels really came back down to earth though. He has to consistently play like the did against the Jets, imo. Datone Jones seems to be quietly coming on, though. Mike Neal is pretty consistently solid, even if not great. I haven't been very impressed with Perry once again. The guy has so much natural physical ability. For some reason he just can't consistently turn that into great play. I think someone could get it out of him, though. Peppers was a great addition and has been worth every penny the Packers spent on him so far. Even if he hasn't been great, he's still been very good.

Dick LeBeau says it takes 3 years for a LB to learn his defense. Packers turn about 30 players over every three years. Do the thinking on that one lol
