It will be intriguing to watch the battle between Davanta Adams (2nd round pick) and Jarrett Boykin (undrafted).

But in Sunday's 31-24 comeback win over the New York Jets, rookie receiver Davante Adams made his first appreciable contribution to the Packers' offense. The second-round pick from Fresno State caught five passes for 50 yards, including 24 on a third-down slant during the Packers' 97-yard touchdown drive late in the second quarter.

"It's plays like that that give you a lot of confidence as a young player, and I'm really proud of him," Rodgers said. "He stepped up. He played really well. I think he'll start to settle in, and you'll see even more big plays from him."

"He's earned those opportunities; he's been coming on,” coach Mike McCarthy said. "You're giving him a shot, see if he can give us a spark, and he made some plays. That's the beauty of competition. You want all these guys competing each and every day. Boykin, I love the young man. He's going to play a lot of football for us. When someone makes plays you keep him in there."

Adams has some good moves. I think he might have a big year. That long catch he had was a huge play in the game. Looked to me like he should have had a TD too that he was possibly robbed of.

ProFootballFocus.com has the drop rates for our WR. Nelson two games three drops. If that was Finley, people would be demanding he be cut.

It certainly is as much about Boykin as Adams. Boykin has done nothing - seemingly completely unable to get open. Is that because Rodgers hasn't looked at him - way down the checkdown list? Is it because he is the sacrificial lamb who is lined up where he gets the best cover guy - it certainly was that way against Seattle? Or is he just lacking the ability to get open? Then Adams comes along - presumably the same situations as Boykin, and he has a degree of success. Is there any other conclusion we can come to except that Adams is a better receiver? I sure wish they would get Janis going that way too. Our TEs have been disappointing so far in the regular season. I'd like to see some four and even five wideout sets.

My hope is that by the end of the year, and being in position to make a playoff push, we have Janis and Adams integrated into the offense and playing well, and also have either Bostick or Rodgers at TE commanding things in the middle of the field to take coverage away from the outside and perhaps make some plays of their own.

Long sentence there.

Absolutely. They are easing Bostick back in though. I only saw him with the kickoff return unit. I wonder if we will see him in offensive snaps next week?

Zero2Cool (3h) : Packers were not selected for the 2025 Hall of Fame game.
dfosterf (5h) : PFOW Out of our division would be a good thing imo
Zero2Cool (7h) : Jameson Williams is done at 24 years old? What? He's a WR, not QB. I'm missing something here haha
wpr (7h) : Tomorrow is almost here.
packerfanoutwest (8h) : would you want him if Pack needed a back up qb?
packerfanoutwest (8h) : JW is done......stick a fork in him
Zero2Cool (9h) : You should. He goes to AFC that helps Packers.
packerfanoutwest (20h) : don't care
Zero2Cool (22-Apr) : Lions shopping Jameson Williams?
packerfanoutwest (22-Apr) : Packers General Manager Brian Gutekunst says Green Bay’s roster can win, even without adding anyone in the draft.
Zero2Cool (22-Apr) : It's a poor design. New site has SignalR like our gameday chat

Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : sounds like Packers don't get good compensation, Jaire staying
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Nobody coming up with a keep, but at x amount
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Trade, cut or keep
dfosterf (16-Apr) : that from Jaire
dfosterf (16-Apr) : My guess is the Packers floated the concept of a reworked contract via his agent and agent got a f'
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Yes, and that is why I think Rob worded it how he did. Rather than say "agent"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Same laws apply. Agent must present such an offer to Jaire. Cannot accept or reject without presenting it
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : I'm thinking that is why Rob worded it how he did.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The Packers can certainly still make the offer to the agent
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Laws of agency and definition of fiduciary responsibility
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Jaire is open to a reduced contract without Jaire's permission
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The agent would arguably violate the law if he were to tell the Packers
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : That someone ... likely the agent.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : So, Jaire has not been offered nor rejected a pay reduction, but someone says he'd decline.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovksy says t was direct communication with someone familiar with Jaire’s line of thinking at that moment.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovsky just replied to me a bit ago. Jaire hasn't said it.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Of course, that depends on the definition of "we"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : We have been told that they haven't because he wouldn't accept it. I submit we don't know that
dfosterf (16-Apr) : What is the downside in making a calculated reduced offer to Jaire?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers are receiving interest in Jaire Alexander but a trade is not imminent
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Jalen Ramsey wants to be traded. He's never happy is he?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : two 1sts in 2022 and two 2nd's in 2023 and 2024
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers had fortunate last three drafts.
