Could veteran linebacker Brad Jones meet the same fate after struggling in Thursday's opener against the Seattle Seahawks?

Or could other defensive adjustments be in the plans after just one week?

In large part I agree that you'd think they'd figure it out by now, but with so much vanilla and individual evaluation in preseason games, and such a shortened and watered down training camp, you do have fewer opportunities to effectively evaluate as an nfl coach

Then they should stop with the vanilla and treat preseason games as real games. The preseason is a tool and if used correctly can lead to positive results. Keeping it bland in the preseason sounds like they aren't taking advantage of all the tools at their disposal to get the right players in the right places. People like to rag on the preseason, but there's more value to it than some people think.

There isn't a franchise that will use the preseason for revealing their plans or schemes during the year. Additionally it's purpose is to evaluate individuals so that you can whittle a roster from 90 to 53.
