I see a couple of you guys bit on Dakota's diversionary shit - ruining the thread as soon as it takes the inevitable turn away from leftist orthodoxy.

Wade, I hate to either agree with the newby leftist over you, or even fence-sit between what you said and he said, but you did kinda go overboard about McCain. This may be heresy, and Gunny, feel free to criticize, but merely being taken prisoner and staying there for a long period alone doesn't exactly fit my definition of "hero". Rather, that would require doing something extraordinary and VOLUNTARY either to accomplish the mission or save other troops. I guess he did fly missions over enemy territory, and THAT is more heroic IMO than getting shot down, captured, held and abused for however long it was.

As for his politics, I see him as a fairly shallow creature of convenience. He cowtowed to the damn libs, and probably for that reason, LOST the election and gave us damn Obama. Now, it apparently seems politically expedient to him to go all tea party. That, to me, is more moral phoniness than moral fiber.

I await VinceLambeauStarr's response to get back on topic of what this thread was supposed to be about.

The worst part about the continuation of this horrible thread is that it gives blowhards like Texas an arena to beat down gay people. Gay people have taken more than their share of beat downs in this world, and we have finally come to an era in our human existence that they have the confidence to not take shit from assholes anymore, but dinausours like Texas think they still have some kind of moral high ground.

As for McCain, I think he's a douche because of his demands that this country go to war for any reason available. Yeah we get it, John, you're pissed about being a POW. Go to therapy.

When/where did you EVER see me "beat down gay people"? - even with words hahahaha. Hate the SIN, not the SINNER, that's what I say. Most homosexual people just want to be left alone to practice their perversion in peace. I would even go so far as to say they themselves think of their behavior as abnormal and perverted. They don't - in most cases - give a damn about legislation, regulation, etc. They don't even care to inflict their behavior on the general population. THAT is the agenda of non-homosexual leftists - either the good-hearted "do-gooder" type, or the sick anti-American type (Dakota).

I guess we pretty much agree on McCain hahahaha - you do know he flip-flopped - against the war before he was for it? He's a political animal, pure and simple.

A bigot is a bigot, and age is no excuse.

These guys may be old coots now, but they didn’t grow up in the antebellum South.
They grew up in an America that was changing by the decade, even by the day, moving fitfully to a broader acceptance of civil rights and human liberties.
They may be creaky old men now, but they were young men or mere children in the 60's & 70's

When today’s old bigots were young, they failed to listen, failed to learn.

Do you think they do that because they are nice do-gooder people like you seem to be? Hell No! It's all about staying in power/getting the votes of what they perceive as the new majority consisting of the old traditional Dem/lib coalition of minorities, enhanced by a younger generation they see as brainwashed to their point of view by the leftist media and leftist educational establishment. I think that perception is wrong, though. I guess we will find out in the '14 and '16 elections. I'm pretty optimistic; How about you hahahaha?

I plead guilty to the whole first paragraph. I think we've had this discussion before - Some people whine about being anti-government (not necessarily you on that one); Some whine about the corporate bigwigs getting over on us little people - I would say "good normal Americans", but basically we're talking about the same crowd. I LIVE what you and your kind only whine about. Admittedly, my "credit jumping, tax evading" ain't gonna make a very big dent in the establishment, but it works for me - I'm proud, healthy, and extremely happy. Something tells me that the same cannot be said for somebody posting the crap you post. But then most on your side of the spectrum are sad dissatisfied losers who just can't manage to enjoy the magnificent freedom and prosperity we all enjoy in America. It must really suck to be like that hahahahaha.

The second paragraph I'll lump in with my reply to Gilligan. Is that OK with you, Skipper?

wpr (6h) : 7 days
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : sounds like Packers don't get good compensation, Jaire staying
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Nobody coming up with a keep, but at x amount
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Trade, cut or keep
dfosterf (16-Apr) : that from Jaire
dfosterf (16-Apr) : My guess is the Packers floated the concept of a reworked contract via his agent and agent got a f'
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Yes, and that is why I think Rob worded it how he did. Rather than say "agent"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Same laws apply. Agent must present such an offer to Jaire. Cannot accept or reject without presenting it
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : I'm thinking that is why Rob worded it how he did.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The Packers can certainly still make the offer to the agent
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Laws of agency and definition of fiduciary responsibility
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Jaire is open to a reduced contract without Jaire's permission
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The agent would arguably violate the law if he were to tell the Packers
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : That someone ... likely the agent.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : So, Jaire has not been offered nor rejected a pay reduction, but someone says he'd decline.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovksy says t was direct communication with someone familiar with Jaire’s line of thinking at that moment.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovsky just replied to me a bit ago. Jaire hasn't said it.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Of course, that depends on the definition of "we"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : We have been told that they haven't because he wouldn't accept it. I submit we don't know that
dfosterf (16-Apr) : What is the downside in making a calculated reduced offer to Jaire?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers are receiving interest in Jaire Alexander but a trade is not imminent
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Jalen Ramsey wants to be traded. He's never happy is he?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : two 1sts in 2022 and two 2nd's in 2023 and 2024
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers had fortunate last three drafts.
dfosterf (15-Apr) : I may have to move
dfosterf (15-Apr) : My wife just told the ancient Japanese sushi dude not enough rice under his fish
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I think a dozen is what I need
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Go fund me for this purpose just might work. A dozen nurses show up at 1265 to provide mental health assistance.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Maybe send a crew of Angels to the Packers draft room on draft day.
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I am the Angel that gets visited.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Visiting Angels has a pretty good reputation
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : what
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : WINNING IT, not someone else losing it. The best victory though was re-uniting with his wife
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : The manner in which he won it was just amazing and wonderful. First blowing the lead then getting back, then blowing it. But ultimately
Zero2Cool (12-Apr) : I'm guessing since the thumb was broken, he wasn't feeling it.
dfosterf (10-Apr) : Looking for guidance. Not feeling the thumb.
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : If they knew about it or not
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : I don't recall that he did which is why I asked.
Zero2Cool (10-Apr) : Guessing they probably knew. Did he have cast or something on?
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : Did they know that at the time or was that something the realized afterwards?
Zero2Cool (9-Apr) : Van Ness played most of season with broken thumb
wpr (9-Apr) : yay
Zero2Cool (9-Apr) : Mark Murphy says Steelers likely to protect Packers game. Meaning, no Ireland
Zero2Cool (8-Apr) : Struggling to figure out what text editor options are needed and which are 'nice to have'
Mucky Tundra (8-Apr) : *CHOMP CHOMP CHOMP*
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : WR who said he'd break Xavier Worthy 40 time...and ran slower than you
Mucky Tundra (2-Apr) : Who?
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : Texas’ WR Isaiah Bond is scheduled to visit the Bills, Browns, Chiefs, Falcons, Packers and Titans starting next week.
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : Spotting ball isn't changing, only measuring distance is, Which wasn't the issue.
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : The spotting of the ball IS the issue. Not the chain gang.
