Admitting defeat is tough. We are a prideful fanbase. Tonight we have to swallow the bitter pill of defeat. It ain't fun. But it's over now. That game is done. What worked? What didn't work? All will be evaluated. The undeniable fact I believe is that the Seattle Seahawks are the best team in the league. We lost to the best team in the league in my opinion. We have 15 weeks at least now to find a way to match the Seahawks and potentially overtake them. We'll see.

Seems to happen with regularity, but people brush it off, because hey, we usually win despite our self shitting and repeated lulls. I guess if we score more points than the other team most of the time, then it's ok if we continue to shit ourselves. Right? Wrong. Because then, when we need to show up without doing so, we can't.

Today for instance. It wasn't once or twice.

Seahawks were stupid to pass today as much as they did. Harvin and Lynch were going untouched 10 yards down the field.

This was not just a loss. This was -- or should be considered -- an embarrassing, totally unacceptable kind of performance. If the team ends up being a 13-3 team, then I'll consider this the annual "mulligan" WTF game. But if the team treats this as just another loss to move on from....this team aint going to be within a mile of 13-3.

Hell, if this game isn't treated as completely, embarassingly, in-your-face unacceptable by the coaches and players of the Packers, this team isn't even going to reach the 6-10 record I predicted.

Yes, the fact of the matter is that everyone loses. Everyone lays an egg from time to time.

But if you just "move on", you don't just lay an egg from time to time. You end up a bunch of chickens with a big pile of chicken shit.

This loss is no different than Wisconsin's loss to LSU in their opener. Wisconsin obviously put forward a better showing than their professional counterparts, but the loss by Wisconsin pretty much eliminates them from winning the national championship. The loss by the Packers beyond the embarrassing aspect of it effectively ends realisitic hope of being the NFC representative. Anyone believing this team was ready to dominate and win #14 needs to realize Seattle hold the tiebreaker over us and the odds of us not having to go back there if we even make the playoffs, are not good.

Our rent a center styled roster is no match for Seattle's.

Aaron Rodgers fails to show up in games vs. great defenses. I can't think of one game in his entire career vs. a vaunted D where he tore it up other than the game for it all in Big D. The SB run he put it on Philly, ATL, not so much vs. Chicago and played his best career game vs. a good Steelers unit. Other than that game vs. Pittsbrugh is there one other game you can point to where this guy elevated his team vs. a superior defense?

I've never been big on MM. He's a fake tough. "We're going there to kick their A$$"???? We'll "play'em in a parking lot"... "we're nobody's underdog". LMAO. That guy is a phony tough. A fraud. To refuse to throw at Sherman all night? SCARED. You coach scared, Rodgers plays scared, and you look like that on national TV.

The defense is the joke I thought it'd be. I thought Seattle would hang 40 on us and they would've had we put up any kind of offensive threat to them. Why in the world would you think the D would be better under Dom? Have you seen his track record? It reads in a very well defined way. His D is instantly good and then tails off considerably as the years he gets grow longer his D's are historically terrible. We trot out guys like AJ Hawk and Brad Jones in the middle when we're draft and develop? Who has developed there in the last several years? Safety? Same question.

There is no sense just writing this off on some fantasy land belief that this Packers team is going to do something this year. Another one and done would look good and be the ceiling for this outfit. I'm really hoping they suck it up so badly that it all gets blown up and we can start fresh with a whole new staff minus MM. Sadly, the GM was extended but I can hope he'd step down and turn it over to someone who has true passion to win and accepts nothing less because the clowns in charge now are not those guys.

Ted Thompson sits on his hands per former GM: "because they’ve had 25 fricking years of great quarterbacks. Of course it works. Try it without a special quarterback."

As one of what could be many other examples, watch the replay at 2:53. Open on the right  I believe it's Randall Cobb is 8 yards behind anyone on Sherman's side of the field, which also happened to be the side AR was throwing from. Cobb could have walked in easier than vs. the Bears last year if Aaron threw it there.

The Seahawks did the same thing to Peyton Manning the last game they played before the Packers and he was coming off the greatest season of a QB ever, and was the league MVP. At some point, you have to credit the Seahaws defense and home field advantage. They very likely could be "that good." A defense that is that good is going to make even the greatest players make many mistakes, both physically and mentally. That's what makes them great.
