Attending a practice:

Tuesday, August 5 12 p.m.
Wednesday, August 6 11:45 a.m.

Whats the general run down of attending a practice.

1. Do I need to buy tickets ahead of time?
2. The practices are here: "Ray Nitschke Field" as listed easy to find?
3. Cost involved and how is the seating.
4. How long do they last and do you think if I brought my baby (5 months old) it would be ok? (Can fuss and cry a bit)
5. Anything else I need to know? - ie I saw something listed about no video recording so only pictures?

Plan on heading back to the states and if it works out will attend one of these practices; although will have my mom/wife/kid with so if its not kid friendly Ill send them away to shop or whatever while I enjoy the practice.

oh - we also plan on heading up to door county any suggestions on where to go look?

thanks

1- it is free to watch practice
2- think of it like this Lambeau Field - Don Hutson Center - Ray Nitschke Field. Easy peazy.
3- get there EARLY so you can choose where you sit, otherwise some pinhead usher will force you to sit in a certain area
4- 2 hours or so ... if the baby is in a car seat baby should be ok
5- I took videos last year, but maybe the no video thing is new this year.

I was born in Sturgeon Bay, WI ... excellent place to cruise around in and several good spots for fishing, so I'm told. It's a beautiful little town to visit.

Z2C and Nerd have provided you with good on the money info.
I would like to add that my favorite place in Door County is Fish Creek.
Lots to do there and a beautiful State Park to visit.
Great places to eat and drink and the sunsets are out of this world.
There is also alot of Packers behind the scenes history to Fish Creek as well.

All of Door County is beautiful and should be enjoyed in it's entirety.

I see fish creek is up there near the top; my wife was asking about baileys harbor - hows that comparatively.
I do like the idea of fish creek being near a park; could take a walk in etc ...

As far as going to a practice -

- I assume they have seats there for people to use?
- And Kevin when you said about getting their early do you mean 30-45 mins?

if anyone is in the mood to meet up either for the practice or something to eat afterward let me know; looking at the 5th or 6th of aug (but will confirm).

My wife and I went over to Baileys Harbor to go kayaking.
It was nice like all places on the Door peninsula but it doesn't Grab me like Fish Creek.

We used to go up to Sturgeon Bay most every August when I was a kid and stay in a small cabin on the water for a week or so. We'd go down to Green Bay for a practice or two every time. Loved it up there. But that brings me back to the topic: spot on with your suggestions.

Just wanted to do a shoutout to Phil from the forums ...

He saved us (my wife, myself, my mom and my 4 month year old) some great seats at Wednesdays practice. This is the 1st packers event I have ever attended.

Wasn't exactly ideal thou as you can imagine - turned out to be a blistering hot day and my 4month year old is not made for that kind of weather ... yet.

Really enjoyed seeing the practice thou - Quite interesting how it all pans out.

Id definitely go to another given the opportunity - just don't bring a 4 month year old :)

- oh didn't see much stretching pre practice and it was only the rookies doing it on the field. I would assume that's the warm up.

Some guys took things quite serious and others looked more casual.
Josh boyd stood out to me and the new guy thornton (spelling) ... but boyd had some fire and some nice plays with the 1-1's.
Lots of the guys just got handed to them.

Stoneburner had some spark and some nice plays - one of the rookie RBs ran pretty well - took lots of pics but might have to wait to get them off the camera

oh was also going to add - we spent a day and 1/2 up in door county (not enough time - 2-3 days would of been better) - but really nice up there. Great food/service/ nice people - nice views etc ...

little pricey sure but IMO worth it. Ephriam (spelling) and fish creek is where I would recommend staying.
Fan Shout
Mucky Tundra (1h) : The Seattle Seahawks defeat the Chicago Bears 6-3. Jason Myers had 6 RBIs for Seattle while Cairo Santos had 3 RBI for Chicago
beast (2h) : Not nessarily, he might of been injured either way. He's playing about 50% of the games the last 4 years
Zero2Cool (8h) : If they'd been more patient with him, he'd be back already. Putting him out there vs Bears caused him to tweak it and here we are.
packerfanoutwest (8h) : well this is his last season with the PAck, book it
beast (9h) : Sounds like no Alexander (again), I'm wondering if his time with the Packers is done
Zero2Cool (16h) : Could ban beast and I still don't think anyone catches him.
Mucky Tundra (26-Dec) : Houston getting dog walked by Baltimore
packerfanoutwest (25-Dec) : Feliz Navidad!
Zero2Cool (25-Dec) : Merry Christmas!
beast (25-Dec) : Merry Christmas 🎄🎁
beast (24-Dec) : Sounds like no serious injuries from the Saints game and Jacobs and Watson should play in the Vikings game
packerfanoutwest (24-Dec) : both games Watson missed, Packers won
Martha Careful (24-Dec) : I hope all of you have a Merry Christmas!
Mucky Tundra (24-Dec) : Oh I know about Jacobs, I just couldn't pass up an opportunity to mimic Zero lol
buckeyepackfan (24-Dec) : Jacobs was just sat down, Watson re-injured that knee that kept him out 1 game earlier
buckeyepackfan (24-Dec) : I needed .14 that's. .14 points for the whole 4th quarter to win and go to the SB. Lol
Mucky Tundra (24-Dec) : Jacobs gonna be OK???
Zero2Cool (24-Dec) : Watson gonna be OK???
packerfanoutwest (24-Dec) : Inactives tonight for the Pack: Alexander- knee Bullard - ankle Williams - quad Walker -ankle Monk Heath
packerfanoutwest (24-Dec) : No Jaire, but hopefully the front 7 destroys the line of scrimmage & forces Rattler into a few passes to McKinney.
packerfanoutwest (24-Dec) : minny could be #1 seed and the Lions #5 seed
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : We'd have same Division and Conference records. Strength of schedule we edge them
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : I just checked. What tie breaker?
bboystyle (23-Dec) : yes its possible but unlikely. If we do get the 5th, we face the NFCS winner
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : Ahh, ok.
bboystyle (23-Dec) : yes due to tie breaker
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : I mean, unlikely, yes, but mathematically, 5th is possible by what I'm reading.
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : If Vikings lose out, Packers win out, Packers get 5th, right?
bboystyle (23-Dec) : Minny isnt going to lose out so 5th seed is out of the equation. We are playing for the 6th or 7th seed which makes no difference
Mucky Tundra (23-Dec) : beast, the ad revenue goes to the broadcast company but they gotta pay to air the game on their channel/network
beast (23-Dec) : If we win tonight the game is still relative in terms of 5th, 6th or 7th seed... win and it's 5th or 6th, lose and it's 6th or 7th
beast (23-Dec) : Mucky, I thought the ad revenue went to the broadcasting companies or the NFL, at least not directly
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : I think the revenue share is moot, isn't it? That's the CBA an Salary Cap handling that.
bboystyle (23-Dec) : i mean game becomes irrelevant if we win tonight. Just a game where we are trying to play spoilers to Vikings chance at the #1 seed
Mucky Tundra (23-Dec) : beast, I would guess ad revenue from more eyes watching tv
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : I would think it would hurt the home team because people would have to cancel last minute maybe? i dunno
beast (23-Dec) : I agree that it's BS for fans planning on going to the game. But how does it bring in more money? I'm guessing indirectly?
packerfanoutwest (23-Dec) : bs on flexing the game....they do it for the $$league$$, not the hometown fans
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : I see what you did there Mucky
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : dammit. 3:25pm
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : Packers Vikings flexed to 3:35pm
Mucky Tundra (23-Dec) : Upon receiving the news about Luke Musgrave, I immediately fell to the ground
Mucky Tundra (23-Dec) : Yeah baby!
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : LUKE MUSGRAVE PLAYING TONIGHT~!~~~~WOWHOAAOHAOAA yah
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : I wanna kill new QB's ... blitz the crap out of them.
beast (23-Dec) : Barry seemed to get too conservative against new QBs, Hafley doesn't have that issue
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : However, we seem to struggle vs new QB's
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : Should be moot point, cuz Packers should win tonight.
packerfanoutwest (23-Dec) : ok I stand corrected
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : Ok, yes, you are right. I see that now how they get 7th
