Facts are that the relationship is a good relationship. I've had contact with Mark murphy on a regular basis about how we're going to do this.

I was going to go to a game last year but it didn't work out [due to high school football coaching commitments].

To me, it's a good relationship. I do believe time heals wounds in a lot of ways. I'm fine with coming back. It's going to be a great ceremony. We are going to do it, it's just a matter of when. From my end everything's good.

I don't [worry about being booed]. I've heard it's a concern, and I'm here to tell you I'm not worried about that.

Brett Favre  wrote:

At a different point in the interview, this point was said and I thought it was interesting. Interesting because he's calling those who view him as anything but a Packer as not true Packers backers. Uh oh!!! [boxing]

Better quote...
“I’ve heard that was a concern of mine, and I’m here to tell you I’m not,” Favre said on ESPN 1000. “I’m not worried about that. I’m well aware that you can’t please everyone. Not everyone’s going to like you regardless, and you know what, so be it. But I think the 16 years that I had in Green Bay speaks for itself.”

Favre was booed off the field the last time he played at Lambeau with the Vikings, but he thinks he’d be cheered if he returned to have his green and gold No. 4 jersey retired.

“I have played with other teams, but I will be remembered as a Packer,” Favre said. “I feel that. I think the true Packer backers, which there are tons out there, feel the same way. I’m not the first player to play for other teams or rivals. . . . As time goes by, that’s how I will be remembered, as a Packer, and that’s how I want to be remembered.”

I'm not sure why you highlighted the one quote, but it appears to be in response to a different question, not about him getting booed.

The point being is that he feels he is always a Packer and quite honestly, not sure it matters what context it was stated in.

Sorry, not trying to sound nit picky and uppity. I was just saying by highlighting it, when I read it, it seemed like Brett was saying true packers fans wouldn't boo him, but when I went to the article, the two quotes weren't really related.

Well true Packers fans probably won't boo the Diva, but intelligent Packers fans can differentiate the difference between the on field player and the very questionable character the man diplayed in his Exodus from Packers nation. I won't be there so I really don't care when or how all this goes down.

It's kind of cheese dick move to say true Packers fans would do this or that. I remember Sniffles Irvin warning Favre not to put on that sperm headed helmet because he would alienate a lot of Packers fans. Sniffles was correct.

That said, I do ultimately respect what he did between the hashes, even if I know about and disrespect him for the cheese dick that he was outside of the stadium.

I will always remember him as the guy who tried to sabotage the Packers by running to the rest of the NFCN and explaining his playbook to them.

Real Packer fans should be fans of the Packers. Not just Favre. He can't sabotage the Packers without doing the same to the fans. He can't stick it to the team without sticking it to the fans. He can't fake a retirement to break a contract and try to force the team to release him or go over the cap limit and pay the penalty and expect the fans to say "Thanks, here is the greatest honor the Packers have ever given."
I want to go out like my Grandpa did. Peacefully in his sleep.
Not screaming in terror like his passengers.

beast (30-Jan) : College Coaches wouldn't want that publicly, as it would hurt recruiting and they might not get the job.
beast (30-Jan) : I thought they were supposed to publicly announce them, at least the NFL ones. Hafley was from college, so I believe different rules.
Mucky Tundra (30-Jan) : Who knows who they're interviewing? I mean, nobody knew about Hafley and then out of nowhere he was hired

Zero2Cool (23-Jan) : Mystery candidate in the Cowboys head coaching search believed to be Packers ST Coordinator Rich Bisaccia.
beast (23-Jan) : Also why do both NYC teams have absolutely horrible OL for over a decade?
beast (23-Jan) : I wonder why the Jets always hire defensive coaches to be head coach
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Still HC positions available out there. I wonder if Hafley pops up for one
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.
