At the end of last season, Tramon Williams spoke at length for the need of more veterans on defense. With the signing of Julius Peppers, the Packers delivered an eight-time Pro Bowler.

Ted signed Peppers, because Peppers was willing to take a small amount of money to play here.

1: He wanted to stick it to the Bears.

2: He wanted to play for a contender.

3: He wanted to play in a 3-4.
