We’ve talked plenty about the Green Bay Packers fourth-round pick, Carl Bradford. He’s a linebacker of one kind or another.

He was a hybrid defensive end/outside linebacker in college and the Packers used him at outside linebacker during their rookie minicamp. However, his stature (6-1, 250) seems to project better to inside linebacker.

He's right.

That was my thought from the moment we drafted him. That's where the need is.

I think that's what he'll eventually be but pass rusher is a premium position/skill in this league. The guy was a very successful pass rusher in college so you have to give him a shot at it in the NFL. If he turned out to be some beast of an edge rusher like Clay his rookie year you can hardly make him an ILB because of a need. I don't think that will be the case but that's why he's starting out at OLB.

Bradford was tied for 2nd shortest LB (OLB and ILB) arms in the draft... the guy who was 3rd, Shane Skov, went undrafted... arm length is important and Bradford struggles with that so it probably is unlikely he'll be at OLB for long. He may have a hard time playing LB, period, with those short arms.

Clay has short arms for and OLB at 32" and Bradford's are 1.75" shorter. If one site I found is to be trusted it stated Clay's arm length puts him in the 76th percentile. Only 24% of OLB's have shorter arms than Clay does. Would like to see what the shortest is but Bradford probably isn't too far off with his 30.25 inch arms.

Brad Jones has 33.5" arms...AJ has 32" arms. Chris Borland has 29.25" arms and they refer to those as tyrannosaurus rex arms. A guy like DeMarcus Ware has 34" arms, and Aldon Smith has 35.5" arms.

Just become Desmond Bishop in the middle, Carl.

Here's a look at lots of rookie arm length and the Niners Trent Baalke on his thoughts about arm length. Packers look to have gotten guys with short arms for their positions save for Ha Ha.

What else is there to say? Dude knows what's up. This year you'll learn the ropes on the outside. There is a need there too not just on the inside.

Zero2Cool (1h) : Damn
Martha Careful (4h) : Saints are re-signing DE Chase Young to a three-year, $51 million deal worth up to $57 million.

Zero2Cool (5h) : Eh, don't think so. better to split
Zero2Cool (6h) : on new site, would Fan Shout and GameDay Chat show same messages?
Mucky Tundra (6h) : The Hall of Fame stuff probably came from a scout as Zero said; at this point though it's hard to see them moving ZT from RT
Mucky Tundra (6h) : Regarding ZT at C, Gute had said he felt C was ZTs best position after he was drafted.
Zero2Cool (6h) : LB Oren Burks to sign a 2-year, $5M deal with the Bengals.
Zero2Cool (7h) : Based on how it was worded at the time, probably scout.
beast (7h) : I don't think the media person ever told the public the source, but Gute or LaFleur did say they thought Tom has earned his spot at OT
beast (7h) : I think it was supposedly unnamed Packers source
buckeyepackfan (7h) : Was that Gute or Lefleur or someone else?
buckeyepackfan (7h) : Zach Tom could be a really good guard, an all pro tackle, but probably be a HOF Center. Who said that?
Zero2Cool (8h) : It's March 10th. I don't think anything is done.
Martha Careful (8h) : if we think CB is done, we have a poor roster
Mucky Tundra (8h) : CB and OG in FA, narrows down the top of the draft board a little
Martha Careful (8h) : Meh....I hope we can get Ward 49ers or Murphy Vikings
