All Tramon Williams is good for is shutting down an opponent's top WR... Yeah, good for nothing. I thought maybe you might have watched some games uddfa...

WTF???

Really, picking on Tramon is shear stupidity.

Not the worst tackler, not the best. Somewhere in between. The only thing I don't get is letting him go this season. Now is not the time. Another good season from Haywood...we'll see then.

Then why are you posting on this thread?

WPR started the thread and said almost the exact same thing in his 1st post, let me say it again, NOBODY HAS A CLUE, this thread is IS ALL IN FUN, just because you don't want to participate now doesn't mean you have to poo poo anyone who does.

Back to name calling, knew you couldn't hold out very long.

Also, threads evolve into other things all the time, much to the chagrin of the posting Nazi, WPR.

Tramon should've been cut for this play alone... you do NOT belong in the NFL if you do what he does here.

Would love to find some AD clips where he pretends to try and tackle AD. Just embarrassing.

I love the yearly will he or wont he regarding Bush. Hey... he was pretty helpful in the Super Bowl guys. Hate to say it but he may be one of the most valuable players on this team from a depth standpoint. *hides in corner*

Now keep in mind I have Mr Bush on my final 53 but it has nothing to do with the SB.

My 2 cents:

Tramon is an all-time fav player of mine but I accept his play has declined in the last seasons.

Bush has never, ever done anything good as a CB, except the SB play so it's a statistical anomaly.

Our secondary is best when we have some pass rush and we've been missing that a lot specially with Clay not at 100%.

It's clear that our best CB is Shields but I'm worried about the 2nd CB position. I have hopes in House becoming our 2nd CB this season. Tramon can grab the receiver I mean slot position and Hayward will be a decent nickel back.

I like House more than Hayward and I'm probably wrong because nobody thinks the same, those stupid gut feelings one has.

I have watched some games... I'll gladly let a guy who tackles like Deion Sanders who doesn't cover anything like him walk for 9.5 million. Yes, I will.

You want a full 53 from me right now? LOL. As vain as you believe I am about my knowledge/intelligence I'm way too smart to even begin to think I know what our 53 will look like. I'll gladly post you my thoughts when I see these guys in the pre-season. You're basically asking me for a mock draft. I don't do those either. Waste of time and energy.

Would love to see Bush and Williams gone to free up more cap money to extend Jordy and Randall. I will not miss one guy's inability to tackle a sandwich and the other guy's inability to contribute on defense in anything but eclipse like regularity.

Since this thread was pretty much established in the spirit of a fun exercise, I think it should be just that, with all ideas out on the table. Not sure what I was thinking there, but I was wrong. I like Tramon Williams, and yeah, I have seen him blow some coverages. They all do at some point in games. I guess we just have different ideas about how good he really is. He is the veteran leader of this secondary. That is why I don't want us to get rid of him. Plus, I think he will play better with a more sound pass rush.

Personally, we've spent time on here calling for Capers head, etc., and I think he now has most of the players he needs to make this a very effective defense. We shall see. Lots of time left before the season starts.

It ought to be interesting to see how Ted calls his final 53 in a few months.

I have always liked House, and have really just wished he could stay healthy and perform at a high level. During last year's preseason he looked like a beast, and was really playing some great coverage. Not sure why he fell off like he did.

Bush, he's a polarizing player for sure. His only real saving grace is his punt and kick off coverage, and a veteran knowledge of the system as a backup DB.

Tramon Williams has indeed shown some ups and downs the last couple of seasons. I'm hoping for more ups from him this year.

Hayward, man, what a rookie year he had. Really like what he brings to our secondary. He's the ball hawk. For sure.

Hyde. What can we say? He showed some pretty damn good play for a rookie last season. Missed some coverages, but his work at the line of scrimmage in getting to the QB and stopping the run was just phenomenal.

Jumal Rolle looks like he has some promise. Again, kind of a ball hawk presence based on his work in college at Catawba where he had 6 INTs. A practice squad guy who has an opportunity to crack the lineup.

Demetri Goodson is looking better and better to me from the stuff I've read. Has a project like quality to him now, but who knows? Maybe he is able to contribute sooner than we might expect. I think he makes the roster just to protect him, as it seems he would probably be snatched from the PS if he were put there.

It wasn't a tackle but one of the most satisfying plays of the season for me was when Tramon lowered his shoulder and layed into Kaepernick after the interception.

EDIT: Steve set me straight. As Jim Carrey said in DUMB AND DUMBER: I was way off. Yup, Tramon Williams...coming soon to a Coliseum near you. Ole'!

Well certainly he has never recovered any fumbles. Oops wrong on that one also. Well, I know for certain that he has never defended any passes. What that? he has. My mistake. I guess when you said he has never ever done anything good except the SB play you meant that he has done some good things besides the SB play. Or are you saying that those are not good plays?

I understand that Bush is not the favorite of many Packers fans and I also understand that he has not been the strongest defensive back on the field much of the time. I also understand the feelings of impending doom like Uffda has when Bush is on the field defensively. We could save 1.7 million in cap space if we cut him and if you think that money would be better spent elsewhere I'm not going to argue. I would disagree but its not an issue worth arguing about.

If you don't like the guy fine. If you think he sucks as a defensive back and is a liability when he is on the field you are entitled to that opinion and I can even see why you might think that, but to say he has NEVER EVER done anything good as a CB except the SB play is just ... well I can't tell you what it is just because zero doesn't like it when we say things like that to other members, lets just say he has done some good things and leave it at that.
