Clay Matthews had 13.5 sacks as LOLB in 2010. He is the same player at LOLB and ROLB. Therefore, if the Packers get someone who is a "ringer" at one side, they can move Clay.

2010 and 2011 30 games LOLB
Games: 30
Sacks: 19.5
QB Hit: 34
QB Hurries: 88

2012 and 2013 ROLB
Games: 23
Sacks: 20.5
QB Hit: 18
QB Hurries: 46

He only had 81 sacks over an 8 years span playing in CAR's 3-4. Another 38 in 4 years with CHI in their 4-3.

Yeah, he's old, but may be of great service as a situational specialist at DE. Think this guy doesn't want a ring?

Let's see if Ted Thompson matches this...

"Filed to ESPN: Pending a physical, former Cowboys DE DeMarcus Ware reached agreement with Broncos on 3-year, $30M contract include $20M gtd."

Lol...😆

I'm sorry, that is absolutely ridiculous. Denver now has 2 huge guaranteed contracts on two guys that haven't finished the past couple seasons.

Whoever said Peppers played a 3-4 in Carolina... No. He was the marquee player of a 4-man defensive line that included Kris Jenkins, Brentson Buckner, and Mike Rucker.

After he bolted from Carolina, he expressed the desire to play in a team that runs the 3-4. He played end with his hand on the ground his entire career, and his size at 6'7" doesn't exactly make him the best fit. He does his best with his hand in the ground.

That, along with the fact that our defensive line coach is Mike Trgovac (whom Peppers didn't like much) makes me believe he wouldn't exactly be a good fit.
