Doesn't look like Kuhn will be back.

I wouldn't be surprised if they brought in several more "cheap" potential replacements for Kuhn just to kick the tires. Who knows Ted Thompson could find a high performance radial among a bunch of bias ply retreads (all the young guys are going huh? WTF is he talking about)
Another way to look at it is its $420,000 more we can allocate to Kuhn if they decide they want to hold onto him. lets say they would resign Kuhn for 1.5 million and he wants 2. they could give him the 2 and still be where they wanted to be. Or they can let him walk and be 1 million ahead.
I just pulled these numbers out of the air for demonstration. I have no idea if they are anywhere close to numbers we would be talking in a real negotiation.
I kinda like the idea of a fullback who can block the socks off of a defender though.
Kuhn is Packer player through and through but I don't know that he is much more than a sentimental favorite. He doesn't get enough touches to warrant a lot of money. Deep down I'd rather throw the extra money they would spend on him at Jones or Shields or EDS or Starks and let someone else take his spot. On the other hand he is a known quantity and we know he will put forth his best effort every time. Kind of a tough call.
