While there is certainly validity to Bob's article and I agree with some of the points made. There is some absolte bs presented. Some have already pointed out some of the more material oversights but I wanted to highlight another:

Not once in those four games did the opposing coordinators all-out blitz Rodgers, and on a mere 12.3% of passes did they even pressure with five. Just as San Francisco's Vic Fangio did last Sunday, the way to subdue Rodgers in the postseason is to make him be patient.

Make him be patient? They aren't blitzing because they don't have to. The pressure is there with a 3 and 4 man rush. The defense blitzing in those situations would be the equivalent of using a bazooka in close quarters combat: it's overkill and you end up burning yourself. And I wholeheartedly disagree with the premise that Kaepernick outplayed Rodgers this last time around. If you switch the two, the 49ers win going away.

I'm not much of a McGinn fan. (Actually, I'm not a McGinn fan at all.)

But this is a good opinion piece. Not at all the oomphlessness I've come to expect from the "Packer Press Corps."
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

For a team being "left behind" they sure held their own against that elite team in San Fran. They held their own much better than that other "elite" team in Carolina.

The Packers don't have the luxury that Seattle, San Fran, and I guess Carolina have. But they won't have that luxury for much longer because they will be picking later in the draft and they will be busting out the checkbooks.

The way I see it is that these current elite teams have a window and their window will only last as long as their current rookie contracts.

We are not in as bad of shape as this article makes us look. We have a bigger window than these current elite teams.

Look how pedestrian Brady was against the Giants in those two Super Bowls. If you can get to the quarterback quickly with 3 or 4 pass rushers you are winning as a defense and you're going to at least slow if not stop any offense in the NFL. Period.

This is why we have been clamoring for improvements to the offensive line for years.

Well, I guess ole Bob has changed his tune since he wrote the now "infamous" Packers can win without Aaron Rodgers" story.

Or is it he is just trying to make the fans forget HOW WRONG HE WAS then and next year, with a little luck, The Packers stay farly healthy, he will once again have written a "I'm just a dumbass writer trying to appease the fans" article.

Let's see how long "these elite teams" stay that way when all thier 1st round top 5 draft picks start demanding more money than a team can afford.

Down year, still North Champions, did everything but "win" their playoff game", which is a hell of a lot better than the 2 prior years where they forgot to show up.

Hell, I may be in the minority here, but after a certain point,(15 guys ir'ed), I was impressed with the Heart and Desire of the guys left playing.

Outmanned and playing with a bunch of "Babies" and career "backups", they still managed to make it to The Playoffs, that is all anyone can ask.

NOW IS NOT THE TIME TO PANIC!!!!!!!

There will be changes this offseason, but IMHO, not as drastic as some may want or think.

This team is FINE.

The biggest thing keeping this team from the NFCC is INJURIES. This team TALK and TALKS AND TALKS about how they want to keep their guys healthier. Well guess what. The injury situation got even WORSE this year.

Clean that up and we have SICK depth.

Yeah, Morgan Burnett struggled, but he was having to cover up for the mistakes of guys like Bush and the shit suckage of the S's lined up next to him. Once Hyde adds a few pounds and gets with the program, we will have two solid S's that can get it done. With any luck, we'll have some depth too.

We could use depth on the DL and at LB, but we've got guys there who can play.

1: Do whatever it takes to get your guys healthy. What's Hawk doing? Get everyone to sleep in a goddamn hyperbaric chamber if that's AJ's secret.

2: High percentage offense. I've said it before. One major reason we go into these "lulls" all the time is that we lack tempo on offense. Start moving the chains, bitches. Get in a rythmn.

And btw, not having a good backup QB was an aberration for this team. Mike will ALWAYS have a developmental guy in that spot. It just so happened that THREE developmental guys shit themselves this year. Then the "veteran" backup guy punked out too. That is an outlier, and I am confident nothing like it will happen again.

Am I thrilled with Dom? No. But give him some healthy players. That last game went down to the final second, after we lost Shields and Neal on the FIRST DRIVE. Get ANYBODY back and we win that game. Despite Dom.

wpr (27-Dec) : Watching bares fans melt down over how putrid their team is, so enjoyable. It's the gift that keeps on giving.
Mucky Tundra (27-Dec) : The Seattle Seahawks defeat the Chicago Bears 6-3. Jason Myers had 6 RBIs for Seattle while Cairo Santos had 3 RBI for Chicago
beast (27-Dec) : Not nessarily, he might of been injured either way. He's playing about 50% of the games the last 4 years
Zero2Cool (26-Dec) : If they'd been more patient with him, he'd be back already. Putting him out there vs Bears caused him to tweak it and here we are.
packerfanoutwest (26-Dec) : well this is his last season with the PAck, book it
beast (26-Dec) : Sounds like no Alexander (again), I'm wondering if his time with the Packers is done

packerfanoutwest (24-Dec) : both games Watson missed, Packers won
Martha Careful (24-Dec) : I hope all of you have a Merry Christmas!
Mucky Tundra (24-Dec) : Oh I know about Jacobs, I just couldn't pass up an opportunity to mimic Zero lol
buckeyepackfan (24-Dec) : Jacobs was just sat down, Watson re-injured that knee that kept him out 1 game earlier
buckeyepackfan (24-Dec) : I needed .14 that's. .14 points for the whole 4th quarter to win and go to the SB. Lol
Mucky Tundra (24-Dec) : Jacobs gonna be OK???
Zero2Cool (24-Dec) : Watson gonna be OK???
packerfanoutwest (24-Dec) : Inactives tonight for the Pack: Alexander- knee Bullard - ankle Williams - quad Walker -ankle Monk Heath
packerfanoutwest (24-Dec) : No Jaire, but hopefully the front 7 destroys the line of scrimmage & forces Rattler into a few passes to McKinney.
packerfanoutwest (24-Dec) : minny could be #1 seed and the Lions #5 seed
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : We'd have same Division and Conference records. Strength of schedule we edge them
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : I just checked. What tie breaker?
bboystyle (23-Dec) : yes its possible but unlikely. If we do get the 5th, we face the NFCS winner
