You had better get the cough checked out. The last time I looked only one of those guys was still on the roster.

Burnett I think wont ever be a superstar but I think hell be a quality starter with somebody halfway competent starting next to him and maybe a decent consistent pass rush.

How long do you propose to give a guy a chance to develop? If he is not starter quality within 1 season get rid of him? If you look at every team you will see players that some fans think should have been gone long before they were released. Its a fact of the game.

It took Nick Collins a while to become the Nick Collins we all knew as one of the best safeties in the NFL. His career numbers are somewhat similar to Morgan Burnett's:
http://www.nfl.com/player/nickcollins/2506390/careerstats
http://www.nfl.com/player/morganburnett/496727/profile

Both had great 2nd seasons, and dropped a bit in their 3rd seasons. Collins' 4th, 5th and 6th seasons were incredible. Burnett's 4th, not so much.

Burnett has suffered from not having a quality Safety opposite him in our D, along with some questionable play from our DL for a couple of seasons. His 4th season should be better, but MD Jennings has really fallen off, his play going south rather than north in his development. I think starting Sean Richardson would certainly help. It can't hurt.

WHAT do you guys see in Sean Richardson?

We have a lot of things that are setting up to be really good for a long time. A lot of really good young players with Sam (Shields), Micah Hyde, Casey (Hayward), when Casey comes back (from a hamstring injury) and Morgan Burnett and Sean Richardson, and veteran guys playing well, A.J. (Hawk) had his best season, Clay (Matthews), (Ryan) Pickett, (B.J.) Raji, Johnny Jolly coming back.

WHAT do you guys see in Sean Richardson? Granted, Jennings has mostly played like shit, but it seems like Richardson misses tackles more than he should too, and on his best day, he's a liability in coverage.

I don't see much in Sean Richardson beyond a decent in the box safety with poor to average at best cover skills. A very good defensive coordinator could probably creatively scheme and make it work, but good quarterbacks would easily expose him, imo. Especially without a top-flight free safety to cover for his mistakes.

I think Burnett, Hyde, and Clinton-Dix are better options in the long run than Richardson. I think Banjo is also better in coverage. Richardson seems like a #4 or #3 type safety, at best. Decent depth, but still not a very good player.

bboystyle (6h) : The Green Bay Packers on Monday signed Taylor Elgersma, the Canadian-born quarterback who tried out at the team’s rookie camp last weekend

dfosterf (8h) : *Elgersma*
dfosterf (8h) : Today would be a good day to discover the Pack signed Taylor Engersma, the Canadian QB
Zero2Cool (11-May) : It wasn't. He simply wanted his money back. They refused. Cops came. They gave him his money in end.
dfosterf (11-May) : Fortunately it doesn't sound like a big deal

Zero2Cool (8-May) : Collin Whitchurch @cowhitchurch · 1h Chicago got a pope before it got a QB to throw for 4,000 yards in a season.
Mucky Tundra (8-May) : New Pope from Chicago; in other words, the city produced a Pope before a 4000 yard passer

Zero2Cool (5-May) : Ravens release Justin Tucker, err D. Watson Jr?
Zero2Cool (5-May) : Cardinals have signed TE Josiah Deguara.
Zero2Cool (5-May) : If I were to "Google" it, then I wouldn't read it in your words.
Martha Careful (5-May) : Yes, in the military S2’s work on IPB, PERCEC, PHYSEC and IO
dfosterf (4-May) : FYI civilian companies swipe the S2 designation from the military. S2 is the intelligence branch up to brigade level. G2 is division level.
dfosterf (4-May) : Google it. Make sure to tack NFL on it or you will get the military meaning
Zero2Cool (4-May) : S2?
beast (4-May) : Seems like the S2 has a love/hate relationship with professional scouts.
beast (4-May) : In theory, the S2 test how quickly a QBs brain can solve game like issues and how quickly they can do it.
dfosterf (4-May) : Are you gentlemen and at least one lady familiar with the S2 cognition
Zero2Cool (4-May) : Maybe there isn't an issue.
beast (4-May) : NFL really needs to fix their position labeling issue, but I don't think they care
Zero2Cool (1-May) : Packers did not activate the fifth-year options for linebacker Quay Walker, with the goal of signing him to a contract extension.
Zero2Cool (1-May) : Matthew Golden spoke with Randall Cobb before draft. Looked like chance encounter.
packerfanoutwest (1-May) : from a head left turn?
packerfanoutwest (1-May) : someone drunk?
Zero2Cool (1-May) : Unlikely.
dfosterf (30-Apr) : How long until Jeff Sperbeck's family sues John Elway ?
Zero2Cool (30-Apr) : Packers are exercising the fifth-year option on DT Devonte Wyatt, locking in a guaranteed $12.9M for the 2026 season.
beast (30-Apr) : Sounds like P Luke Elzinga has a rookie try out opportunity from the Titans
