I didn't get all the hate for Flynn and calling for his benching. He doesn't look good at times, but Tolzein looked even worse. Thankfully us fans don't make these decisions. Flynn is obviously the better option . . . at least for this season. Some can't get past the "grass is greener on the other side" thing, for some reason.

Matt Flynn acknowledged one of his problems in the first half was he was locking into his first read before progressing to his second read far too long. He said in the second half he made decisions quicker instead of waiting for his first read to get open.

Edit, more from Matt Flynn.

They were also stuck in 3rd and long too often because of some holding calls and sacks. They were 1st or 2nd and 15 to 20 about 3 or four times (thanks, in part, to that flip toss that never did work) and ended up having to punt.

That made it hard to keep the ball moving and sustain drives in the first half. McCarthy was definitely more conservative in those situations then he would have been with Rodgers.

They weren't going to ask Flynn to do to much and would rather punt it then risk a turnover. Dallas' D sucks but they are among the league leaders in creating turnovers which is rather odd.

Also Dallas gave us that game, you are averaging 7.1 yards a rush and you need to run out the closk you decide to pass [duh]
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

The thought entered my mind I think twice during the game, but I stopped myself each time and thought we didn't come this far to give up on our guys now. Flynn got the starter reps this week; let him finish this game with the team. Win or Lose; do it together.

There's a strange chemistry that makes Flynn perfect for GB and no other team.

It's also clear that whatever it is that makes Flynn confortable is not in Mike McCarthy plans at the start of the game, he always starts badly.

Had we signed Flynn after Oakland released him we would be probably at 9-5 or 10-4 with Rodgers coming back to confirm the division title.

Now we just get to root for the ravens and get ready to take the steelers and the bears at home ...

If Rodgers is unable to go, Play Tolzein for the first half, and let Flynn come out after half-time to get a comeback win.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!
