To get into the Playoffs the Packers need to win the NFC North or get a wildcard spot.

As of right now the Seahawks, Saints, Panthers, 49ers, Cards, and Bears are ahead of the Packers, with the Cowboys and Eagles right behind the Packers.

Of all these teams the Lions have the weakest schedule left with Packers, Eagles and Ravens being their only games against teams that have won 40% of their games or higher.

Packers have the second weakest schedule left, but they’ll have to win games even with all their injuries and then probably beat the Lions head to head (with Calvin Johnson playing) to have a chance at the division.

For the sake of looking deeper in the wild card, lets say the Lions win the division.

Panthers are one game behind the Saints and have the top wildcard spot right now. Panthers and Saints have the 2nd and 3rd toughest schedules left with over half of their games left against teams with winning records including two games against each other which very well could knock one of them down a couple pegs.

Bears have only one team (Vikings) who haven’t won at least 40% of their games, which could slow them up getting the Packers past them.

Cards have the toughest schedule left, which the Packers should be able to pass them back up.

The 49ers have 3 games left against teams with winning records.

So the Packers need to stay ahead of the losers in the NFC East and stay close to the 49ers/Panthers/Saints and they could win a wildcard spot as they should knock each other down some

Of course with the Packers injuries that's a lot easier said than done, the Packers need wins over the Giants and Vikings to keep up.

I think the Packers will need to win at least 5 of their last 7 and very well might be 6 of their last 7 to get in.

I think the Packers can win their final four games if they get Rodgers back. I’m guessing he’ll return in time for the Atlanta game. That means they’ll need to beat the Falcons, Cowboys, Steelers, and Bears. Those are all plausible wins.

In my head, I’m hoping for 7-5 or 6-6 after his return. That’ll at least give Green Bay a fighting chance, though I’m not sure 10 wins guarantees you a playoff spot in the NFC. The best scenario is they win one of their next two games and Rodgers makes an early return against the Lions.

I still think The Packers easiest route to the playoffs is to win The North.

Gonna be watching The Lions at Steelers real close today, with The Bengals losing their last 2 games, they have let everyone in that division back into the race.

Steelers have struggled this year, but they are still tough to beat at home, they are a veteran team that knows their backs are against the wall.

The Lions go into Pittsburgh today and beat The Steelers, I'll tip my hat to them, but to this point, The Lions haven't proven they can win the tough games to keep them on top.

Packers playoff run starts today, let's see if they can put it all together, rally around Tolzien and hopefully by the end of the day they will be back in a tie for 1st place.

GO! PACK! GO!

The Lions will shit themselves. They always do.

It's gonna be tough. We have to win alot of games from here on out. But so do these other teams.

We can only lose 2 more games, if we lose more than 2 games I think with all the teams playing well right now, you can say goodbye to the playoffs.

I agree GCB. If we don't get Aaron Rodgers back soon,
we can kiss any playoff dreams goodbye.
2 more losses and the season is over.

DOOM AND GLOOM!!

Lions 6 - 4
Bears 6 - 4
Packers 5 - 5

I think Rodgers plays next week, or Lions at the latest. We'll see how things shape up then. Randall Cobb will be coming back too. Sadly, he doesn't play on defense.

The Packers aren't going anywhere with this defense anyway. Rodgers, Lacy, et al. would have to absolutely play out of their minds to have a chance even if they make the playoffs. I just don't see it, but with a guy like Rodgers, it's always possible, albeit unlikely.

Zero2Cool (15h) : Fake news. Cowboys say no
Zero2Cool (16h) : Mystery candidate in the Cowboys head coaching search believed to be Packers ST Coordinator Rich Bisaccia.
beast (23-Jan) : Also why do both NYC teams have absolutely horrible OL for over a decade?
beast (23-Jan) : I wonder why the Jets always hire defensive coaches to be head coach
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Still HC positions available out there. I wonder if Hafley pops up for one
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Jeff Hafley would have been a better choice, fortunately they don't know that. Someone will figure that out next off season
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Aaron Glenn Planning To Take Jets HC Job
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Martha- C'est mon boulot! 😁
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Thank you
wpr (22-Jan) : Z, glad you are feeling better.
wpr (22-Jan) : My son and D-I-L work for UM. It's a way to pick on them.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Thank you. I rarely get sick, and even more rarely sick to the point I can't work.
wpr (22-Jan) : Beast- back to yesterday, I CAN say OSU your have been Michigan IF the odds of making the playoffs were more urgent.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : I've been near death ill last several days, finally feel less dead and site issues.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : It is a big deal. This host is having issues. It's frustrating.
Martha Careful (22-Jan) : just kidding...it was down
Martha Careful (22-Jan) : you were blocked yesterday, due to a a recalcitrant demeanor yesterday in the penalty box for a recalcitrant demeanor
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Was that site shutdown on your end or mine? No big deal, just curious
beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
beast (21-Jan) : You can't assume Ohio State would of won the Michigan game...
beast (21-Jan) : Rankings were 1) Oregon 2) Georgia 3) Texas 4) Penn State 5) Notre Dame 6) Ohio State, none of the rest mattered
wpr (21-Jan) : Texas, ND and OSU would have been fighting for the final 2 slots.
wpr (21-Jan) : Oregon and Georgia were locks. Without the luxury of extra playoff berths, Ohios St would have been more focused on Michigan game.
wpr (21-Jan) : Zero, no. If there were only 4 teams Ohio State would have been one of them. Boise St and ASU would not have been selected.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : So that was 7 vs 8, that means in BCS they never would made it?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : A great game. Give ND credit for coming back, although I am please with the outcome.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : FG to make it academic
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : and there's the dagger
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooo 8 point game with 4 minutes to go!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooooooohhhhhh he missed!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Ooooo that completion makes things VERY interesting
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Game not over yet
beast (21-Jan) : Oh yeah, Georgia starting quarterback season ending elbow injury
beast (21-Jan) : Sadly something happened to Georgia... they should be playing in this game against Ohio State
beast (21-Jan) : I thought Ohio State and Texas were both better than Notre Dame & Penn State
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame getting rolled
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : Ohio State just got punched in the gut. Lets see how they respond
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame vs the Luckeyes, bleh
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Oh snap!!!
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : Even Stevie Wonder can see that.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : Nah, you see Lions OC leaving to be HC of Bears is directly related to Packers.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ohhhhhhh Zero is in TROUBLE
packerfanoutwest (21-Jan) : Zero, per your orders, check Bearshome, not packershome
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : Then he'll land with another team and flourish.
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : Ben going to Bears. He'll be out in 3 years.
