I noticed "LombardiAve" first stated Capers SHOULD be fired, then they stated this rumor - that he would be fired. I think the rumor is false and just an extension of the article advocating firing Capers.

If my memory is correct, Moss was on the staff before Capers came along. That, to me, says that he would go back to what we did before Capers. I can't see doing that. Greene, on the other hand, is Capers guy. So why fire the genius of the scheme and then keep the scheme?

I still say it's all about inadequate personnel - Ted Thompson's fault. None of this would have been that big a deal when we had Aaron Rodgers playing and masking the overall weakness of the team.

As much as Dom Capers scheme sucks and never changes, look at the players as well. There are far too many missed opportunities by these players to place all the blame on just Capers.

The two long passes that the Eagles scored on were downright embarrassing. DeSean Jackson walked in backwards from 5 yards and Cooper rolled into the endzone...I mean, seriously. C'mon.

I get the sense of panic.. that the season may be slipping away.. but flipping out a DC mid-season probably isn't the correct answer.

The lull right now in the Packers season is more of an attrition issue than anything else. You cannot sustain the types of injuries that we have, play sloppy ball at times during games and expect to win.

The margin of potential victory for the Packers has decreased significantly with the injuries we have sustained.. you keep plugging in new personnel and expect the playbook to be expanded? It is a team game with a bunch of moving parts that need to work in concert.. it is becoming more and more difficult when the rotations consistently change.

I am not saying Capers is the answer.. but I can almost certainly say that in a tough spot like we are in, changing the DC out and expecting all the become righted is not just going to happen. If they were even considering it an option going into this season.. then Capers should have been walked in the offseason. Not midstream in the grind with the chips down on the table and us being extremely short stacked.

Personally, I am more disappointed in us being consistently decimated by injury with no logical reason year after year than "Bad Luck".

Everyone is speculating on two words from MM during an emotional presser... Lombardi Ave probably wrote the piece as a guess so they could post it ASAP if something like that happened. Inadvertently posted it.. and pulled it back.

It would be exposing MM tell's at this point to react in that nature.. we shall see.

Any move like this would not be made until there was NO chance of making the playoffs. The move would be a sign of the team packing it in for the season. And we clearly are not to that point.

Now even if we assume that they would can Capers at this point, what makes anybody think that Moss would even be in the discussion as a replacement? Because he has the assistant HC title? He has been Lbers coach, and only lbers coach. Head coaches normally have experience with multiple positions if not all.

Winston IMO, is not assistance HC because of his ability to be a DC IMO. It is because of player relations reasons.

Hmmm. Like others here, I can't believe Mike McCarthy would fire Capers. Especially mid season. A fire does need to be lit under our D's asses though. No question.

This whole situation reminds me so much of early 2010.

Packers were just embarrased in Tampa Bay.

Players were falling like flies, fans were calling for Ted Thompsons head, among others.

Veterans like Donald Driver and Woody called a player only meeting and whatever they said worked.

I just don't know if there is a strong leadership on this team.

Talking to the media is one thing, saying the play was unnacceptable.

There comes a point where the team leaders need to step up and call out each and everyone.

Firing the DC in mid-season does little, we all know these guys have talent, we've seen it displayed time and time again, imho, a lot of these guys don't know how to react to all the adversity.

Those that went through it in 2010 need to step up now.

If it takes a player only Come To Jesus meeting, then hopefully someone steps up and calls one.

Time to rally around Scott Tolzien, he is the man for now.

That senile old bastard needed to be gone 2 years ago already. 2 man rushes on 3 and 15, play soft coverage all the time. He's lucky Wood, Tramon, and Shields had all those picks over the years. His defenses lack testicles and us true fans have been calling for his head for years. Capers does not command respect anymore. Offenses are moving at will on us and for God sakes, running the ball down our throats to end games. See ya Capers, I'm sure your overinflated salary will keep from the breadlines as you move forward.

Tbh I wouldn't be against Greene getting the DC job. What he would lack in schemes and play calling I think he would make up for in energy, the ability to connect with players and bring a environment of accountability. Like that missed tackle Brad Jones had on the screen pass on 3rd and 7 that broke GBs back. With Capers I get the feeling that Jones won't hear that much about it; if Greene were DC I feel that he would be up Jones ass all week.

Based on McCarthy's presser. Nothing is changing.

Appears LombardiAve was talking out of their ass.

Zero2Cool (30-Jun) : Dolphins get (back) Minkah Fitzpatrick in trade
Zero2Cool (30-Jun) : Steelers land Jalen Ramsey via Trade
dfosterf (26-Jun) : I think it would be great to have someone like Tom Grossi or Andy Herman on the Board of Directors so he/they could inform us
dfosterf (26-Jun) : Fair enough, WPR. Thing is, I have been a long time advocate to at least have some inkling of the dynamics within the board.
wpr (26-Jun) : 1st world owners/stockholders problems dfosterf.
Martha Careful (25-Jun) : I would have otherwise admirably served
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Also, no more provision for a write-in candidate, so Martha is off the table at least for this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : You do have to interpret the boring fine print, but all stockholders all see he is on the ballot
dfosterf (25-Jun) : It also says he is subject to another ballot in 2028. I recall nothing of this nature with Murphy
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy is on my ballot subject to me penciling him in as a no.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : I thought it used to be we voted for the whatever they called the 45, and then they voted for the seven, and then they voted for Mark Murphy
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Because I was too lazy to change my address, I haven't voted fot years until this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Weird question. Very esoteric. For stockholders. Also lengthy. Sorry. Offseason.
Zero2Cool (25-Jun) : Maybe wicked wind chill made it worse?
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : And then he signs with Cleveland in the offseason
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : @SharpFootball WR Diontae Johnson just admitted he refused to enter a game in 41° weather last year in Baltimore because he felt “ice cold”
Zero2Cool (24-Jun) : Yawn. Rodgers says he is "pretty sure" this be final season.
Zero2Cool (23-Jun) : PFT claims Packers are having extension talks with Zach Tom, Quay Walker.
Mucky Tundra (20-Jun) : GB-Minnesota 2004 Wild Card game popped up on my YouTube page....UGH

dfosterf (14-Jun) : There was minicamp Thursday. My man Taylor Engersma threw
dfosterf (11-Jun) : There will be a mini camp practice Thursday.
Zero2Cool (11-Jun) : He's been sporting a ring for a while now. It's probably Madonna.

Mucky Tundra (10-Jun) : How's the ayahuasca tea he makes, Martha?
Martha Careful (10-Jun) : Turns out he like older women
Martha Careful (10-Jun) : I wasn't supposed to say anything, but yes the word is out and we are happy 😂😂😂
