Packers GM: 'My fault' if problems at backup QB

Green Bay Packers general manager Ted Thompson said he chose Seneca Wallace as his backup quarterback this year because of his comfort level with the veteran.

Even if he dropped the ball in this case, I'm still glad Ted Thompson is the General Manager of my favorite NFL team.

I'll give him credit for at least recognizing that there is "fault" and for taking the blame.

I guess we will see tomorrow and possibly future weeks whether or not there is more "fault" in the form of overall team weakness - masked by the greatness of Aaron Rodgers/exposed now, and if so, whether Thompson takes the blame for that too.

It is good to see Uncle Teddy man up. Seeing how Wallace missed so much of camp it would have been nice for him and Mike to talk about what they needed to do to bring him up to speed as the backup.

What's there to "man up" to. This is a case of no shit Sherlock. There are always going to be weaknesses on a football team - and the GBP have been absolutely blessed to have starting quarterback(s) with outstanding durability for going on 2 decades. It finally caught up to us. Hopefully we can somehow split the next four games.

What's there to "man up" to. This is a case of no sh!t Sherlock. There are always going to be weaknesses on a football team - and the GBP have been absolutely blessed to have starting quarterback(s) with outstanding durability for going on 2 decades. It finally caught up to us. Hopefully we can somehow split the next four games.
