Clay Matthews: His absence could actually benefit the Packers

It is official that Clay Matthews has had surgery on his broken thumb and is out for an indefinite amount of time. How long he will miss is a wide open question, but it is safe to say we will not see Clay on the field in uniform until November at the earliest. That is the third

I was kinda thinking that also - with Neal and Perry showing something, and with a relatively weak stretch in the schedule.

My thoughts as well.. stated it in some thread or another.

To think that his loss at this stretch in the schedule may not be as bad as people think is one thing. To think that losing your best defensive player is good for the team is another. Since we are playing some weak teams maybe losing Rodgers would help us as well. Makes sense doesn't it. Give Wallace some much needed playing time in case we need him later on.
