No matter what they say, though, the poll is based on performance this season, NOT any subjective concept of who is the best team - which is what the term "power" would imply.

IMNHO, the Packers are the strongest i.e. most powerful. Of course, I'm biased, but I bet if a panel of unbiased observers voted, the Packers and Niners would each get 30%+, the Seahawks just under 30%. The Saints would be a lot higher, etc.

Can't complain about GB being 5th. Might be able to make a case for them over Houston but I would call them about a push based on the season so far. I don't agree with SF dropping 2 though. They lost to the current #1 and beat the current #5 where Denver may be 2-0 but they haven't played the same level of competition.

but i think the gap between us and SEA, DEN, and SF is pretty significant at this point.
