Referee Bill Leavy admitted after Sunday's Packers-49ers game that his team botched a call after Green Bay's Clay Matthews and San Francisco's Joe Staley both drew personal fouls, and that the officials' mistake benefitted the 49ers. The Packers benefited in the sense that the officials screwed up on the call on Staley. They did not benefit on their screw up on the enforcement of the original call. They are two separate events. Perhaps they should not have thrown the flag on Staley but since they did it should have been 4th and 2. I guess it makes 2 mistakes they made then and not just 1. They should have kept their mouths shut and quit while they were ahead (or is is it behind)
