All I care about in this game is that we do NOT shit ourselves.

I want this team to SHOW UP. I'm sick and tired of hearing how the Niners are "better than" us. How they "ran wild" on our defense. How we can't stop them.

At least SHOW UP. Make it a game. Act like you belong on the same field with these people.

We all know this team isn't going to show up and play for 60 minutes. They're going to go into a shell for at least ONE quarter. Probably two. But I at least want them to be in contention.

our run D looks much better this year so far from the preseason that I have seen. Watch the QB option and keep our coverages tight and we good to go. Get our run game going - I cant wait to see what we can do with our running game with lacy.

And want to see our receivers carve up their DBs ...

and our punt catchers catch the ball.

Minimum, like was said above, A WIN. I'd be satisfied with that under any circumstances except maybe major Packers injuries.

What I'd like to see, though, is a Dominating Performance by the Packers. I want Aaron Rodgers to be at his best, and Eddie Lacy to show that drafting him was a big success.

After reading about Dave Aranda's D beating Kaepernick teams 2 of 3, I convinced myself that if the Badgers kicked ass against the read option yesterday, it was a sign that the Packers would do the same. However, the Badgers opponent was so lame, that maybe it wasn't a good test. Besides, it wasn't read option strictly speaking that killed us last season; It was Kaepernick dropping back normally, then taking off like a bat outta hell. I WANT to see the Packers D stop that. I expect, however, to see Kaepernick break loose a few times, the Packers to stop him slightly better than last year, and the Packers offense to basically outscore the Niners.

Oh, by the way, my definition of a good game is the complete and utter humiliation of the 49ers...

Obviously, a win is most important, but I'd like to see more than that today. I'd like to see a new brand of Packers football. I want to see a physical team. I want to see what Nick Perry has to offer us now that he is healthy and has a year of learning the position under his belt. I want to see that we finally have our answer opposite Clay Matthews. I want to see what all the hype is about regarding Mike Neal's ability to pass rush off the corner. I want him to get that pressure without leaving a wide open gap for Colin to run through. I want to see Morgan Burnett on the field today. I want to see a different defense that is capable of containing this QB. I want to see Johnny Jolly have a great game. I want to see BJ Raji live up to his draft position. I want to see that our WR corps isn't going to miss a beat. I want to see our offensive line step up and keep Rodgers on his feet. I want to see us end the game as healthy as we started it.

This is only week one, but it's already our statement game. This is the chance to show we are the real deal, to show we can play with the big dogs of the league. This is the chance to show we are legitimate contenders and not just another playoff 1 and done team.

beast (30-Jan) : College Coaches wouldn't want that publicly, as it would hurt recruiting and they might not get the job.
beast (30-Jan) : I thought they were supposed to publicly announce them, at least the NFL ones. Hafley was from college, so I believe different rules.
Mucky Tundra (30-Jan) : Who knows who they're interviewing? I mean, nobody knew about Hafley and then out of nowhere he was hired
beast (30-Jan) : I wonder what's taking so long with hiring a DL coach, 2 of the 3 known to interview have already been hired elsewhere.

Martha Careful (25-Jan) : some of those people are smarter than you zero. However Pete Carroll is not
Mucky Tundra (24-Jan) : Rude!
beast (24-Jan) : Martha? 😋
Zero2Cool (24-Jan) : Raiders hired someone from the elderly home.
dfosterf (24-Jan) : I'm going with a combination of the two.
beast (24-Jan) : Either the Cowboys have no idea what they're doing, or they're targeting their former OC, currently the Eagles OC
Zero2Cool (23-Jan) : Fake news. Cowboys say no
