To fans, A.J. Hawk is a walking disappointment. Yet he’s here. Eight years in, Hawk must be doing something right. Right?

Was hoping this article would filter through the news feed without anyone posting it.

Didn't want some realizing there is more than just "flash" when it comes to being a valuable asset to a team.

It is no longer relevant. If you still hate him because of his play so be it, but if you hate him because he never lived up to the draft position expectations give it up already.

hes not a lawrence taylor or even a clay mathews but i always feel pretty good that hes solid enough to make plays and not cost us too many big plays, hopefully they dont let him go one on one with the recievers as much this season, because there arent many lbs who cover great downfield to begin with !!

As he's dropped weight last year/this year, AJ's looking quicker. I'm glad he's a Packer, both on and off the field.

BUT, he's available every week (not to jinx him of course) and he's willing to sacrifice his body for the team. I think Ted identifies with him, because they were somewhat similar as players.

I got tired of the Hawk pissing contests, both for and against. He was an awesome player for us in 2010. Had some coverage problems the last two years and wasn't getting to the QB. Those are all facts, both the good and the bad. The other important fact is our DL played like dog shit both years that Hawk has struggled. Coincidence? It all works together.

He's lost weight and looks much quicker. I'm hoping it helps him return to his 2010 form and that he has his best season ever. He seems like a great teammate and a good leader on D, who is always leading or close to leading in tackles. I think he will have a really solid season with this much talent around him.

dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Weird question. Very esoteric. For stockholders. Also lengthy. Sorry. Offseason.
