I'm not saying the Seahawks aren't good. They definitely are. But they're not going to the Super Bowl, and they aren't going to win it, at least not this season. They're just not there yet. I've watched Russell Wilson for a very long time, as I'm an NC State alum. Used to see him around campus and such. He's definitely a guy you don't want to bet against. But Seattle as a team has a lot to prove and I think they're over rated. They will be in the playoffs, but I don't see them going to the Super Bowl.

I did like the moves they made in the off season and the draft, though. Especially the focus on obtaining more talented defensive linemen. If a team has a consistent and serious pass rush, they almost always have a chance. I didn't like the Harvin trade.

It seems as if 10 teams enter the playoffs with real Super Bowl aspirations. There are exceptions like the 2010 Seahawks or the 2012 Colts, who are just happy to be in the dance, but in today’s age, the playoffs have never been as wide open. My point is that I don’t think you can count Seattle as one of the two or three exceptions per season. If they make the playoffs, they’ll be very dangerous.

I like how he says both qbs have proven they can get them to the Super Bowl with the Seahawks and Pats. Did I miss something when did Wilson lead them to the Super Bowl?

He feels that Wilson has the talent to get the Seahawks to the SB so he says we (meaning he) knows he can get them there. Similar but not the same.

It's obviously just an opinion. With that being said, it's my opinion that the Seahawks won't make the Super Bowl this season, and yes, I feel confident in that opinion. They haven't proven enough for me to believe in them, and I have a feeling they won't take a big step forward this season. The prediction is no more right or wrong than a prediction that they will go to the Super Bowl and win it. It is what it is, and just like I said in my first post of this thread, predictions like this are impossible.

If the Packers and Seahawks were to meet in the playoffs, as of this moment, I would be taking the Packers. I would also take the 49'ers in the same situation. There could be a few other teams that could potentially beat them as well, perhaps a reasonable 50/50 chance (vs. a no-brainer win by the Seahawks). That's the basis of my opinion.
