Though Jermichael Finley may have bulked up in the off-season, improved his run blocking, and worked on his chemistry with Aaron Rodgers, the biggest change to his game may have come in the form of two rookie running backs: Eddie Lacy and Johnathan Franklin.

And that's how a decent running game sets up the passing game

Add a healthy Nelson and Cobb and this offense will definitely be something.

Remember how Jay Novacek used to carve up the Packers back in the 90's. It was because of the running threat of Emmit Smith. We saw it early in the game against the Rams. Just having Lacy on the field opened it up for Finley. If this keeps up Finley will have a huge year.

Eddie Lacy definitely helps. Not so sure about Franklin however. I mentioned in the chatroom that Franklin has not looked comfortable in the NFL. He has been struggling in training camp and has shown next to nothing in the preseason games. Hopefully he starts stepping up, but I'm looking forward to seeing if Harris can be the #2 back on the team.

He's fine, I'd like to see him get a shot with the #1s. Get him in the open field with some blockers out front. Dude will get to the house.
