B-Jack isn't healthy now. Thats why i want to see what Wynn can do in the Lions game. Grant has been so-so at best, so why not take this game to see what Wynn can really do?
Give the kid a REAL shot to see if he can do what i think he can do.
At this point, what is there to lose?

I don't know about lose, but we sure can avoid some more Ryan Grant incentives by playing Wynn more.

We should've stopped Grant from even getting to 1000 if you ask me. Nothing against him, but I'd have liked to see Jackson more and a 3.7 average isn't worth the money we're paying him when he reached a 1000 yards.

Like I said though, I don't know if Wynn is going to be that great. I think he'll be pretty bad in normal game situations. His average was ok last season 4.1 (203 yards on 50 carries), but Grants where amazing aswell. The way defenses gameplan against us has changed and our O-line has pretty much collapsed.

I'll say it again, I think he'll be maybe a Lendale White like back, used in short yardage situations, just bruising through defenders.

The problem is can he stay healthy that has been his big problem, why we have Grant whom I think will be a lot better next year,Brandon is good say we keep all,and use them some how.

We could have some sort of a set like this:

Fullback: Deshawn Wynn
Halfback: Ryan Grant / Brandon Jackson

Wynn is alright, but we could get a faster, more explosive type player in the draft to replace him...something like a Chris Johnson.

Sorry for only taking a part of what you're saying, but this is something I wanted to bring up. Grant has been disappointing this year. A 3.7 average is not acceptable, and Jackson has shown flashes whereas Grant hasn't. I'm seriously wondering why we don't see more of Jackson.

As for Wynn, he hits the line hard. Just for a tempo change, I don't see why we don't throw in Wynn more too. That guy seems to fight for every possible yard and hits the line harder than Grant does. At worst, it wears down opponents.

Root of the running problem starts up front and with the lack of confidence Mike McCarthy and staff have in it..

Wynn has a chance to prove that he is past his maturity issues and have a strong offseason and come in with the attitude to take carries away from the other two.. compliment the team with another talented runner.

We as a team have to become more confident in running the ball and actually commit to the run like we did in the later parts of the 07' season.. starts up front.

Well said. Mike McCarthy has been all talk and no action. Keeps saying that we need to commit to the run, and then where's the run come game time?

I'm hoping Grant is just having a Sophomore slump because I loved the guy in '07. Wynn I still see as having a lot of potential and for that alone, let's see what he can do. And from the little I've seen of Brandon Jackson, he's put a smile on my face.

Sorry, off topic....but how big was Grant's contract that he signed? Like how much money and how many years?

5 virtual bucks says that if he gets another crack at it, Wynn is going to surprise most at how good he can run the rock, even with our shitty o-line. I feel it, and have for some time.

I think the whole semi-shaft job he absorbed (tough-shit, btw, imo) helped him grow up exponentially from last year to this.

Give him the ball !

The kid gets it done when he gets a shot.
I hope they go to him a few more times in the 2nd half.
