After a strong preseason debut as the rookie starter at left tackle, the mature-beyond-his-years rookie continues to shine. He'll face a big challenge at St. Louis. Plus, injury updates from Wednesday's practice.

when they drafted Bakhtiari I thought they would try and move him inside to G or maybe even C. If he played OT it would be 3-4 years down the road. I never expected him to be lining up at LT with the starters in training camp. That he is holding is own so far is even more impressive.

I'm still somewhat skeptical of the guy, at least for now. I think there will be times when he is as bad as Newhouse, but things looks OK so far. He does seem to have higher upside than Newhouse, though, which is great.

This draft class really has the chance to be something special.

What I want to see is backups who can perform as depth if one of these guys goes down. If Barclay starts at RT, Newhouse could back up both sides. Van Roten can back up on the interior.
