Green Bay --- Excuses were conveniently laid out. One by one.

"He just beat me. He just beat me," House said. "I can’t even tell you what it is. I just lost that day. Overall, it was a bad day for me.”

I appreciate his stand up attitude towards his play, but it was so poor, Hyde jumps into his slot. Really unfortunate for House, but I think Hyde will not be relenting this anytime soon. Looking at House last preseason prior to injury, he looked fantastic. This is a clear hurdle he is facing, and I wish him all the best.

I don't think it's fair to call him overrated. He's barely played in his 2 seasons with us, I think he only started once or twice with a loaded secondary.

What he said, owning up to his bad game is a step in the right direction. Saying he's gonna clean up his mistakes against the Cardinals, shows some confidence.

He's coming off of an injury/food poisoning, he stated he was dizzy at times, kinda still recovering from that. I think he'll be better as the preseason and or regular season goes on.

The #4 and #5 CBs are not high on my list of worries.

One game... let's see how he responds.
Why is Jerry Kramer not in the Hall of Fame?

I'm not worried about one bad preseason game. He's also had one or two really good preseason games, so that's a wash. He's been OK at times in the regular season even with a bum shoulder. I expect him to bounce back and be a solid number 4 CB, or possibly even more. Even the best players have very bad games. Not enough data on House to say anything definitively. I think he's looked good more than he has looked bad, to date.

Still, this kid looked good pre-injury last year. He gets at least another shot.

But then so does Hyde.
