without a doubt without the avatars. It too busy with them. I logged on yesterday after not checking in for a couple of days (meaning lots of unread posts) and I almost didn't finish going through them.

If it had been my first visit to the site I may not have come back. I'm like that I guess. If I don't like the looks of a site the content really doesn't matter to me. The info is available elsewhere and the conversation is pretty much the same (although you guys rock\:d/ ).

I voted without, just because the info forum users is looking for is a bit more streamlined. Clean, easily read. But, it doesn't much matter to me and I'm good with both.

Would it be possible to make it a user-chosen preference/option? Or do we all have to go one way or the other?
