Chris Carter will be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of fame tonight.
There will be alot of Super Bowl rings flashed around but alas poor Chris Carter will be the only inductee without a ring.
I guess playing for the Vikings is a bad thing when it comes to Super Bowl bling.

I always thought Carter was a jerk, but I am all for a successful redemption story. It's easy when things hit rock bottom to give up and let your life go right down the crapper, but Carter got clean and worked hard to get back at it and made himself a hall of famer.

Never liked Carter. Made circus catches, but other than that. Pfeh.

Frankly, back in the bad old days when he and Moss were teamed up, Moss's antics (except the traffic cop incident) bothered me less than Carter's sanctimonious "leadership." I disliked Moss because he played for the Vikings. But I disliked Carter, and still do, because he strikes me as the epitome of a prick jock.

IMO, his receiving stats notwithstanding, he doesn't deserve to be on the same stage with someone like Dave Robinson.

Or on the same set with Chris Berman and Tom Jackson and Mike Ditka.

IMO.

Yeah, his 'sanctimonious' leadership is terrible. Which is why when he went on stage to give his speech, he took his time to talk about all the people that helped him during his darkest times, on and off the field.

What a fucking prick jock.

No doubt its unfair of me. Where do I get off demeaning the character of any pro football player; after l know none of them personally.

But, right or wrong, he has long struck me as a slickster. Someone like our current president or the republican he defeated in the last election, someone like an infomercial personality or a used car salesman.
