- Practice ended a little earlier than normal today. My theory is with training camp practices inching closer toward family night, the coaching staff would rather keep players as fresh as possible. The team has gotten healthier over the past couple days which is a good sign.
- The kicking battle continues between veteran Crosby and newcomer Tavecchio at just about an even split. Family night should provide a great indicator going forward on who has the upper hand going into pre-season both mentally and physically.
- The back end is really coming into its own. With Williams out, younger players have not wasted their reps. Davon House has come back from illness and been consistent and keep an eye out for first year player Loyce Means as a wild card down the stretch.
- It is hard to read into coach speech as it relates to the safety battle. McMillan and Jennings looks to be in a dead heat and continue to trade reps with the 1s. While we may have to wait until the end of pre-season for a decision, my gut says McMillan wins the job based on the plays he has made up to his point.
- Jones and Daniels were paired up as inside rushers in the nickel today. Taking these two defensive linemen and putting them side to side speaks volumes on what coaches think about their pass rushing ability.
Circular Arguments: They are a heck of an annoyance
