I can honestly say.. this is the most anticipated and anxious I have been for college ball to start in probably 15 years... and mostly to see how the Badgers respond to Coach Anderson after getting blindsided by Bielema late last season.

By all accounts, and I was worried a bit about the timing and draw the Badgers would have, it seems they have landed the perfect fit for the program.

"Can't Wait" is an understatement.

Just a small taste of Anderson's take on the program..

Informed that reporters used Twitter to decribe his opening comments as bland/boring, particularly in comparison to former UW coach Bret Bielema, Andersen reminded anyone listening the game is about the players and not coaches.

“This is not about me in any way, shape or form and it never will be," he said. "So who I am or what I am…as long as the kids in our program know who I am and know that I love and care for them, it is about those kids...

"Players make plays. Players win games. As coaches we are here to move them in the right direction.

"The last time I looked I never saw 85,000 people walk into a stadium to watch 10 coaches run up and down the sidelines."

Eff you Becky.

That said, Anderson is a great coach. It'll be hard to fill the shoes of Alvarez and Burt and knowing your retarded program's luck, Anderson will fill them shoes nicely.

We added 2 more seats to our season tickets for the Gophs. They aren't with the other seats we have, though. So it'll be some figuring out on how to decide who sits where. That said, I'm just as excited for college ball. Then again, I'm always vibrating with excitement come this time of year.

I effin' love me football season.

Oh, and I'm so jacked for the season. Bielema was a fucking moron. At least on game days. Great recruiter but I don't know if I've ever seen a more clueless head coach on the sideline of a big time college program when it comes to running the actual game. From what little I know on the matter, the players did not like him either.

I like everything I've heard about Andersen.

I'd stop way short of calling Bielemma a moron. He had a damn good record for a long time, although it did seem like he presided over a very very gradual decline after Alvarez. I'm glad to see him move on, but rather than feel negativity for him, I'm glad to see him get a big payday with Arkansas. Everything I've heard makes it seem like Anderson is A LOT better coach.

As long as condoning cheating at a institutional level is as big a part of the program as it is at OSU, it will always be a huge uphill climb for a UW or anyone else in the conference to win it. It's good to see that they (the Badgers) are always competitive though. Maybe Minnesota can see if Hayden Fox is willing to return to coaching.
