To paraphrase Bill Clinton, it kinda depends on your definition of "are" hahahahaha.
Last season, for sure, the Packers played kinda soft. They were exposed on defense by the Niners, but really that was just an extension of what was already happening for a few years. On offense, if being pass dominated equates to soft, then yeah (I'm not ready to automatically conclude that, though).
If by "are", we mean THIS upcoming season, all signs point to a whole lot less softness. As was mentioned, Datone Jones and a healthy Nick Perry will make a great difference. I'm still worried about "up the middle" - interior D Line and ILB. Safety, however, should also be less "soft" with the development of McMillian and/or Jennings.
And if a strong running game means less soft, well, if the line switch and getting Lacy/Franklin doesn't do it, then something is wrong in the coaching (Campen). I STILL, however, expect to see a STRONG pass domination - just with more success because of the running threat - imagine a MORE successful Aaron Rodgers hahahaha.
