The possibilities of how we lose to the Lions are statistically very large....but I am going to say late defensive collapse, followed by Aaron Rodgers leading the team into position to score, again, only to have some total brainfart penalties shut us down.

To be specific, I sense a false start AND a holding penalty shutting down the offense in a late comeback attempt. So sayeth my crystal ball!

Gallows humor...so much fun!!

Culpepper sees a tiny target on the Jumbotron that says, "Throw it here to win!" Getting all day to sit in the pocket, he scrambles for 7 seconds before heaving a pass that incredibly, hits the target. Confetti rains down, fireworks go off, Culpepper wins a leather jacket and the Lions go home, victorious.

Totally realistic.

We'll be up 35-0 at half, outgaining them 335 yard to 12, and it would've been 49-0 if two Blackmon returns weren't called back on holding and block in the back penalties.

As the second half gets underway and it's clear that neither the defense nor the offense are going to fold bad enough to lose the game with a now 42-0 lead, the Madden Curse pulls out all the stops and turns all 11 defenders on the field into wacky waving inflatable arm flailing tube men.

(Our Defense in the 2nd half)

This combined with a series of freak occurrences that seemingly defy probability and sometimes the very laws of nature will lead to a miraculous comeback in the last 6 minutes of the game, resulting in a 42-42 tie. In overtime, Mason Crosby's kickoff will be blocked by Calvin Johnson, who lines up directly across from the kicking tee and uses his 134" vertical to block the kick. His hands are so rock hard that the Packers would normally have recovered, but the ball wedges itself directly into Johnson's facemask, who although blinded, is guided to the endzone by the rest of the kickoff return team, while 10 wacky waving inflatable arm flailing tubemen and Mason Crosby are unable to take him down.

48-42 Lions.

On the final pass of the game Chico fires a bullet to a wide open Jones on the two yard line.

The ball kills a seagull.

The Seagull and the ball land side by side on the one.

Moll picks up the seagull and dives into the end zone.

Detroit picks up the ball and goes 99 yards for the win.

Moll, still not knowing what happened... Jumps up and celebrates by spiking the seagull.

You fine gents and gals will probably have to tell me after Sunday, I think for the first time in many years.. I will elect not to watch the Packers even though I have nothing else planned in its place.

If we were just a bad team, I could take that and watch for the positives.. but we are not a bad team in that we don't have talent or don't have a realistic chance to win each week. No We are a bad team because we week after week make stupid mental errors or lose focus as the game wears on and find a way to lose.

We lack the leadership from the sidelines to the field mostly on defense to close games out.

We choose these "nice" guys to play on the team, which is probably better than the Dallas's of the world, but with that we lack fire and intensity on gamedays.. and personally I am absolutely tired of watching a team without fire.

I miss the Gravedigger wrenching up the crowd.. I miss Wayne Simmons clocking a TE, I miss Chuck Cecil delivering a hit so hard you wondered whom it hurt more.. I miss Charles Martin's hit list.. I miss Mad Dog's fire.. I miss that Packer fire.. that intensity that came with playing on the Packers.. we lack that..

How will we lose this game.. Lord only knows.. I don't think I can bear to watch it and certainly can't find the freaking humor in it today.

God I hate this addiction.

Martha Careful (21-Dec) : I think MLF want Love to look past the end half issues, and feel good about his play. Our coaches generally keep a very positive tone.
beast (21-Dec) : I think a great running game will do that for most QBs

Mucky Tundra (20-Dec) : Or if KC needs to win for the #1 seed
Mucky Tundra (20-Dec) : Right now it looks like the only prime worthy games are Det-Minny and KC-Denver (if Denver can clinch a wild card spot)
Mucky Tundra (20-Dec) : The entirety of week 18 being listed as flex is weird
Zero2Cool (19-Dec) : Matt LaFleur today says unequivocally "Ted Thompson had nothing to do with the drafting of Jordan Love."

packerfanoutwest (17-Dec) : yeah beast hates the Winter Warning Unies
Mucky Tundra (16-Dec) : Okay I'm glad to know it's not just something happening to me lol
Mucky Tundra (16-Dec) : Zero, did you copy the Packers uniforms from last night and white out the board?
beast (16-Dec) : Oh crap, is the board going to the Winter Warning Uniforms too?!? It's all white on white right now!
