Yeah, Nerdmann is always crying about something that is mostly in his head. He hears and sees what he wants to hear and see. It's incredibly predictable. Mike McCarthy delegates a lot of responsibility to the defensive coordinator, and a guy like Dom Capers should be able to handle that. If I was Dom I would appreciate that. I take his statements to mean it's the offenses job to score points, and it's the defenses job to stop the other team from doing so. It's a rudimentary statement: score a ton of points on offense and limit the points the other team with your defense and the team is going to be winning many more games than they lose. It's an aggressive style, not unlike Sean Peyton runs in New Orleans. Tired or not, the defense has to make more stops. Like Gilbert Brown said in his recent interview, the lackluster performance of the defense has as much to do with injuries causing a talent drain as anything else. If the Packers stay relatively healthy like the 49'ers did last season, they can keep up with anyone. If not, they still can, but it will be much more difficult.
