Restricted free agent cornerback Sam Shields and the Green Bay Packers have not yet been able to agree on a new contract and as a result, Shields has not participated in any of the team's organized team activities this offseason. Sam Shields missing OTA's is a good thing. Less chance for him to get injured before the snaps are real.

Is it possible that Shields doesn't understand that Rosenhaus works for Rosenhaus and not for Sam Shields?

It just seems like he should find a new agent if he really wants to stay with the team long term.

Is it true that if Shields doesn't sign the $2.023 million tender by June 15 the Packers can drop the offer to $693,000 and still retain exclusive rights for the 2013 season?

I'm not suggesting this tactic but maybe if it did happen he would fire his dickhead agent and sign the long term deal he supposedly wants. 🤔 🤔

I lost just about all hope of resigning Shields when I saw Rottenlouse was his agent.

Why is Jerry Kramer not in the Hall of Fame?

People make too big of a deal out of this. He's missed 2 voluntary practices so far lol.

I don't mind him missing Voluntary practices. But the last couple years it seems like the guy loses his job on and off, may it be injures, or lack of commitment. Who knows. But if I were him i'd go workout with the team. It helps improve your game, and makes you a better team. I understand how players want money, but if I were in a player in the NFL i'd help my team to make the money rather than sitting on your couch and waiting for it.

According to the Green Bay Press Gazette, Rosenhaus is in GB negotiating face to face with the team to get a contract done for Shields in hopes of getting it done in time for him to be at the mandatory mini camp tomorrow.

And with $13.5 million in cap space, this should happen.

Williams and the Packers took their time getting his deal done a couple of years ago. It will work out. He will be in for camp.
